The Sopranos: Made in America (2007)
uncertain universe
I like the quantum mechanics theory. We think that we live in a certain universe, but we don't. We can only experience what we can measure, and if a measurement is not possible, we live in a duel universe where facts are not certain, but can only be predicted using a probability wavefunction. All throughout the show we have been able to see and measure what's been happening to Tony, his family and comrades and so have been living in a certain universe. By ending the show with a black screen, making no measurement possible, we live in a duel universe. One where Tony is alive and preparing for his indictment, and one where he was murdered in front of his family. Both equally probable in my view.
Japón (2002)
Not my cup of tea
Dreadful. Awful.
Where to start? Way too slow- I kept looking at my watch hoping this movie would end but it just seemed to drag on forever.
Every time the guy thought about killing himself I prayed that he would so the movie would end! Needless to say this somewhat spoiled any enjoyment I might have got from the film.
No plot, nothing interesting happened and way too much horse and old woman nudity.
I was ecstatic when the movie finally ended. A painful, miserable few hours of my life I'll never get back.
Don't waste your time- don't watch this movie!
London Voodoo (2004)
A fairly awful film.
One of the worst films I've seen (but not the worst so I'll give it that.)
It's clear that someone spent a lot of time and effort making this film but I must admit it just didn't do it for me. The various camera experiments didn't really pay off, it's still got that kind of daytime drama feel to it, (great for daytime dramas, not so good for films) and the less said about the painful slow motion scene the better.
A couple of the plot lines were more than a little ridiculous and generally the story was fairly poor. The script was only rescued by the comedy builders with their refreshingly bawdy banter. (There were other parts of this film that amused me but I don't think they were meant to.)
If you want a good Voodoo film then try Skeleton Key, it's a bit glossy Hollywood but it's better than this.
