Malcolm in the Middle (2000–2006)
9/10
Best Sitcom of the 2000's
9 January 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Was there really a better sitcom out there for the decade? Malcolm In The Middle really covered a lot of ground.. bringing family, dysfunction, rebellion all into the mix at a speed that felt as wholesome as it did chaotic. The cast is wonderfully picked, even down to the characters that barely show up but once or twice and there's loads of dynamic to chew on here. Part of me wishes this show even went longer than the 7 seasons it aired, to watch Jamie grow up more or maybe we could have got a spinoff with him as the focus but I do think he was an important character in showing how the other boys were probably treated by Lois and Hal growing up. We need that Malcolm In The Middle reunion like yesterday! I'm really excited that's gonna be a thing.

Lord have mercy this is a 💩 show..
15 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Oh my god. Dude. What the hell. All the character development is gone. It's just surface level now. The only thing we get in those regards are Adam and his Dad (briefly) and then all the important moments that were supposed to happen before Otis and the gang went off to college is just not there. Then Jakob and Ola are just cut out???? I mean I get that Joy probably isn't Jakob's kid but really???? We don't get to see how that played out either? Jakob and Ola are important characters and you're also telling me that Lily is just cutout of the show after that dramatic buildup at the end of season 3???? Does Joy's treehouse get built???? I did some research and saw where the original writer was hired on for this first episode but the director had changed... part of me thinks the director barely watched this show and pressured the OG writer into making this horrific mess. Come to find out, it probably WAS the case considering the writers after this episode are different. This can't be the last season, right?! I mean I've only watched this first episode to this last season and I'm already foreseeing its downfall through to the last episode. Man. I've never been more disappointed by a show. And this may be the only time in history a new production team was hired to write the last season, not a good idea for any show.

More Complex Than You'd Think (Redux Review)
18 July 2023
I've watched this whole series twice. There's a lot more I noticed when I watched it a second time around. Without getting too much into detail, the UK characters portrayed here in the US were expanded upon & finetuned, in very suddle and not so suddle ways. A few big examples here are Michelle character, Cadie (Cassie UK), and Tea's (Maxxie UK) characters respectively. Most of the characters changes from UK to this version were more relative to the US lifestyle as opposed to UK, and that is something I don't think the UK will ever understand, even with their criticism aside before the show came out. What's special about Skins US, too, is that it represents a place and time in America, where we were as a culture, in style, and even on a deeper level, in music (which in my opinion, the music in the US version is much better than the UK). The changes made were necessary to make this show feel as real as it did, and as a not so proud American, I felt the connection to this show deeply as I was the same ages and grade(s) as most of the characters in the show and irl when this came out... Which brings me to why I personally appreciate Stanley's character so much, it reminds me heavily of who I was in High School & I personally feel that his character has more depth than Sid's did (if you look close enough). But even my enjoyment couldn't seperate the looming hate of the show across the pond as well as this show was just too far ahead of its time, many argue that MTV was to blame but most still had cable around this time... Big streamers like Netflix hadn't become relevant yet and putting this show on HBO would have caused less kids to see it... And that's always been the goal behind Skins, to get it to the youth and beyond so they have something to relate to and feel a connection with, but the parent teacher television did not care, so this show would have suffered the same fate anyway. Without this show, Euphoria wouldn't have been a thing almost a decade later, and viewers wouldn't have ever found out about Skins UK. I think this version of Skins gets way less credit than it deserves and for all the hard work these unseasoned actors & actresses put in, it surely deserves more praise and they deserved better. I hope one day this version of Skins will find a resurgence among our youth but also the world in general, and I hope that wherever most of the cast is today that they are doing well, truly, because it seems little to no information can be found about them online past this show. Please don't hesitate to watch this show once or twice through, you might find more to appreciate about it than you think.

Another Perfect Episode
27 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I didn't think things could get better after Episode 6 this season, I didn't think it could be more emotional, but this one is unabashedly the MOST emotional. I felt more and more anxious as the time pressed on and nearly cried midway through with Carmy's Mom & apprarance and her tearful roller coaster. This show is so real and raw and authentic that it just feels too good to be true. I'm not sure if you could call the ending of the episode a cliffhanger but I guess we're left to wonder if Carmy will be a part of The Bear anymore, if he'll see it as just a nervous breakdown or if he'll have to make a choice between the restaurant and Claire. Also, I found myself relating to the thoughts Carmy was saying out loud... As someone who struggles with mental health, it was so spot on. Season 3 is inevitable though at this point, I just wish we wouldn't have to wait, because I've never watched a season of a show faster in my life. This show is wonderful.

Finally, a realistic look at Christmas
26 June 2023
This is a gut wrenching episode. The amount of emotions captured for a dysfunctional family is the most realistic take on Christmas I've seen yet. Christmas time last year I felt like I didn't matter to my family just like Carmy's mom did. I felt like I didn't belong as my Uncle pressed the issue, hence Mikey's emotions. I've been told I'm nothing by a family member as well. The reviews saying this is unrealistic is absolute dog puke. This is the closest thing to realistic and will give me something that isn't boring to watch when the holidays roll around, because all of that garbage is happy go lucky while every lonely individual during that time feels pinned in a corner with nobody on their sides. This episode also adds loads of character development to the main characters of The Show, Fak and Sugar included. This show continues to bring raw emotions to the table and its ironic because where the table is at (like working in restaurants too) is where these things live. I feel bad for Carmy.

Is this it????
1 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Ok, I certainly wasn't expecting that girl from that crazy family (Bella) to show up and go absolutely psycho on Dave and Brad Pitt, and that was just bizarrely brilliant but unrealistic as hell lol. My question is, is this it for the show? We see what seem like character wraps for the side characters of this show... Though I'm sure they could continue, it almost seems like everyone's reconciling and doing better. But maybe I'm wrong. Maybe they continue the show. It would be nice to have more seasons because we do get a bit of a cliffhanger, at least for Dave's character.. I just wanna know if him and Robyn actually end up getting back together and what Dave's life looks like after going to Africa to work with Drake where it also seems (?) that he meets the elephant Robyn adopted for him. I truly think they could continue if they wanted to, but if this is it for Dave, it sure has been a ride. I love this show so much.

The Grittiest Documentary I've Seen
28 May 2023
This has to be the most engaging, informed, exposed and gritty documentary I've watched. Christians and Non-Christians alike will find more than enough to keep them on the edge of their seats while also being provided with receipts of a broken system throughout. My jaw dropped wide open when Carl Lentz showed up on the screen in the most recent interviews recorded for this, it certainly felt real and all too gripping. Certainly while this is quite the expose' and the intro theme may be oddly & aesthetically pleasing, when they warn you about triggering episodes, please don't look past that... There's a lot of info in the last episode or two to make a weak stomach or a victim of SA and the like feel triggered and mind-boggled. It's a lot to chew on but at the end of the day, no matter what you believe spiritually, finances and scandals shouldn't become the norm, and thats what ultimately brought down this den of wolves I used to see as a legitimate church.

Dave Is Traversing The Sitcom World
7 May 2023
This episode is quite incredible. They've been taking a lot of risks this season, mixing genres & ideas but this episode really sets out to do everything Dave has been doing since day one and more. The horrific and suspenseful undertones make for an unsettling experience, and with this being a sitcom, it sure does more than most sitcoms when they try to cross genres. You really do feel the emotions Lil Dicky is facing after the crap hits the fan, he has to deal with an unexpected situation, left without his devices and meds, it really just feels all too real. I love that they keep bringing conversations of culture and beliefs into these episodes, because when it comes to this episode, it gets the point across in such a to-the-core emotional way that this show has only been dreaming of doing. Seems we're on the way to a season finale and I'm really interested to see where we go from here.

Episodes Like This Aren't It
4 May 2023
This one and the Dirty Dancin episode come off so cheesy, it's like RZA and the execs on the show just wanted to make a movie but couldn't accomplish it because of the time frame of one episode. Or, I suppose you could consider these episodes creative, but... I digress, because they are just takes on old movies like Scarface and telling a fictionalized version of stories we've already seen in the show. It shows that they feel they've been through a lot, which is true, but it also just kinda makes for nothing new for the show from an artistic aspect. I do really think these two episodes made boring what otherwise is the best season of this show... I really appreciate how far they are going into the characters' lives this season, it's truly captivating, and while these two eps MAY be necessary, they're ultimately skippable.

1 May 2023
It's really a shame this show got canceled, I'm even more bummed I didn't get to see it back when it aired considering my friend at the time was always watching Teen Wolf & I wasn't really into the show. This is everything I could have wanted from a party episode in a sitcom... You have the spiteful girl who cant get her point across, the main character who is starting to become very lucky, a lot of tripping, hilarious dialogue & a sense of togetherness. I can't wait to watch this series and thank GOD this series lasted more than one season at least as compared to shows like Skins which could have gone on longer. Thanks, MTV. You hit the ball out of the park with this show and it seems to go very underrated these days, but at least most of the ppl I come into contact with remember this show still haha.

Hilarious but yikes...
16 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This episode really did not age well. The workaholics dudes have been taking a lot of risks in this season but I feel they may have gone a bit too far. The jokes are hilarious and the premise feels down bad, but there are some moments in this thing that just aged poorly... like when Blake thinks a high school cheerleader is into him, and when he gets naked in front of the cheerleaders... My only argument against these points is that Blake's corndog being attached to his d-ck to make it look big is too funny, but getting naked in front of high schoolers? Not so much. I'll have to say though, I laughed real hard when he got chased after. I'm really surprised that they brought the high school intertwined episodes back, like I thought this was better left at the beginning of the season... not to mention technically the workaholics dudes in the show and off the show have been out of high school for some time when this came out. Yikes. Idk. Its a good thing this show is fictional or it wouldn't be passable at all.

Pivotal Episode And An Important One For Family & Drama Television
23 February 2023
This show (up until this point) has been naturally heartwarming and real in tone when it comes to portraying family dynamics, and the more crucial the situational aspects become- the more it can be heartwrenching and relatable. This episode is nothing short of that and is the heaviest episode of the series thus far... We see each and (almost) every one of the siblings caught off-guard in their own worlds while the unexpected happens & their schedules change to meet the challenges of this new tragedy. We see them reflect on the tragedy of their parents passing in a horrific car crash and deal with it in their own ways, while still being there to support one another. But with that support naturally comes tension, some are fed up with each other and the dynamics here feel too real to begin to even fathom. The episode ends outlooking a sunset while Claudia plays us off and the baby seems to enjoy it, its so beautiful and I will have to say that this is the best episode I've seen of the show this far. Episodes like these in the series keep me wanting more, it makes the show authentic and stand-out from others that surrounded its existence in the 90s and truly pressed the Dramily (Drama + Family) genre forward to new heights which only influenced the future of such shows to come.

Best Episode So Far
18 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I'm a big fan of M Night Shyamalan so that has been the main reason I've been watching this show (even through some of its arguably lazy writing), but the show has been a slow burn nonetheless that I keep coming back to and seeks to entertain. This is the best episode so far simply because everything that makes the show and advances the show is in place- the dialogue, wacky/black humor and horror. Two brothers fight & make up, Leanne's powers seem to only get stronger and we learn more about the housekeeper than we did before... Not to mention the eery and horrific ending and lead up. It could be safe to say that Dorothy's physical health isn't the only thing that has been declining at this point and that is sad to see. Overall I'm not sure what to expect at this point but ultimately I think that is M Night's goal with most of his works, maybe we'll see a twist of some sort. I'm looking forward to it but gonna need a mental break for a bit from the next episode because of this one lmao.

The White Lotus (2021–2025)

Addicting & Stand-Out but...
13 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Season 1 was about a 9/10 for me. The sentimental moments with its mix of commentary on social climate, racism, morality and ethics felt so perfectly sewn together. It was like if Arrested Development & Twin Peaks had a baby and the first season was its love child. A bit gritty and kinda weird but it was somewhat of an introduction of what was to come. Now going into Season 2 I wasn't that impressed with the first episode, I was thinking in my head like "are we just going to have a repeat of last season?" And in some ways thats what we got... Manager sleeps with a co-worker/friend on the job, some one dies and these things both happened around the same time they did in season 1. It's like that movie "The Smell Of Us" Larry Clark did several years back but just more drawn out... The storyline also felt more like a romance novel than much commentary, aside from the constant shots of the beheaded greek mythology head, the references to it and the lore that surrounded the white lotus in Sicily... all of those things kept me coming back and making things feel more intense than they were but until the last episode I wasn't fully convinced that it was worth the wait to see the outcome. The way Tanya dies was kinda lame (I guess), I mean its almost black comedy-esque to show her shooting up the boot than to show those on the boat getting shot among her slipping off the boat and dying. Also, how come she gets to come back in the 2nd season but none of the 1st season cast does? I get it, she was the stand-out character of that season but their lives got cut so short even though we got a good idea of where they were going. I hate the fact Ethan and Aubrey's character fall back in love in the end, she clearly cheated on him and so did he. If anything season 2 was a big commentary on romantic dynamics and the bigger emotions behind broken families and systems. I just think in some ways it could have been executed better. But great show nonetheless, I dont think I've ever watched a show that fast, looking forward to season 3. I give season 2 a light 8/10.

Wasnt Expecting This To Be This Good
31 January 2023
Two episodes out currently and this show exhibits a lot of promise, the chemistry between characters is infectious and even oddly so at times... its heartwarming in ways that most shows aren't, reminding solely of the show Community for these elements. I'm not sure if this accurately displays a therapist's way of coping with issues but it sure does allow room for Jason Segel to put his own spin on it. Harrison Ford plays Dr Rhodes, Jason's boss and mentor of sorts.. I wasn't sure how his character was going to work in this show but the antisocial likeness of Rhodes sure does play into a persona that Ford meets quite well when thinking about the more apprehensive elements of his character Han Solo in Star Wars, it just fits like a glove in this show. Somehow all too relatable, Sean (Luke Tennie) plays somewhat of a son figure to Jimmy (Segel) while he deals with familial issues of his own with his daughter Alice (Lukita Maxwell)... What I see here feels so vivid and the possibilities maybe (?) endless as I see Jimmy navigate these things. Btw, the intro theme to this show is so good, I didnt even skip it when watching the 2nd episode... And the music in this show is so good. Overall this is turning out to be a wonderful show and I hope it only keeps getting better from here.

Favorite Episode So Far
1 November 2022
This episode just screams what its like to have a power outage in your town, the celebration thrown for the lizard is so brilliantly iconic and weird and just punk af. This is also hilarious, as are most episodes but the sense of togetherness found in this one as compared to others are so different because a whole town comes together. I really want to try some of Pastor Joe's pumkin ale tbh, like damnnn. I think the only thing missing from this episode is Kelly's dad, given he lives in a trailer and an apartment, bouncing around from both, it would make sense that he'd have some involvement in the episode. Many have rated this episode low, though I don't know why. I also think the music choices are perfect for this episode, brings me back to Feig's "Freaks And Geeks"

Uniquely Original, Heartwarming, And Oddly Relatable
1 November 2022
This show sure was slow in the first episodes, but I gave it a chance because of the interesting premise of living in a small town and the characters like Sean William Scott being a preacher, and Good Lord (no pun intended) does he make this show worth it... He's so good at his character and hilarious just like in American Pie oddly enough. Growing up in a small town myself and currently living in the same town, this is such an accurate and comical portrayal on what its like to live in a small town. It almost feels like Paul Feig is shelling out more stories of his small town living in Michigan to give this the flare it needs, because like "Freaks And Geeks" this feels like a show that can't be done a second time. It's absolutely genius and I'm always looking forward to watching another episode. Definitely don't hesitate to give this one a shot.

Idk
27 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
It's taken me so long to finish this show. I already knew all the details I could know about the Michelle Carter case, it sure does raise red flags in how we treat mental health and how we treat women with crime, which I personally do not think Michelle did enough time nor has Conrad's legacy been fulfilled. But one thing is for sure, if anything is right, that no one in their right mind or anyone would dream of doing what Michelle did. The series does capture what seemed to be her awkwardness and relationship with Conrad, and what I was hoping to gain out of this show with something new to add was lost among the dramatizations that some times were so over the top and worked more in Michelle's favor than it did Conrad's among just not even seeming like the dramatizations would be a thing. It tried to make Michelle out to be the one who was dealing with the pain mostly while Conrad's family were stagnant, which is far from the truth in real life. What I will say about the show though, is that, the acting from each character, even smaller roles were great. Elle Fanning did an incredible job as the did Conrad's actor. And when the dramatizations were ok, they didn't seem worth me waiting 8 episodes to see all of them, because basically this show is just all the info we already know about the Carter case acted out. I just think it could have been executed way better, because in this day and age this case should be talked about more seriously in reflection to society and how we treat mental health and let women off the hook for crimes. Ultimately this was just a waste of my time.

Groundbreaking And Immaculate
12 September 2022
Season 1 & 2 could be slow but still broke some barriers that other shows couldn't, or at least got the ball rolling. Season 3 is just breaking boundaries every episode, though, as if the 4th wall doesn't even exist and it's just something for us to look at like a gallery of art. Donald Glover crafts each narrative and episode to where it feels like commentary and provides a change in the conversation among racism, segregation, equality and more. Season 3 really plays to all the characters' advantages though, we really start to see more of them in deeper ways than we have before & my personal favorite character is Lakeith Stanfield's. This show is one that challenges you but still makes things fun along the way, it'll have you thinking about what deeper meanings are in the show and if you caught them all. We truly need more than 4 season to this show. It's just too good to let go so soon.

A Step In The Right Direction For Comedy
27 August 2022
Something about this show was so infectious from the beginning, it has original comedic elements all its own and still reminds you of old sitcoms, I can't help but feel the heartwarming elements remind me of what you might see in "The Bear" or "Full House"... Even the dry humor feels refreshing of its show predecessors "King Of The Hill" among others that carried the torch for shows like this to exist. The show feels very authentic to the location its set in, South Central Los Angeles as well as the gangster lifestyle and cuban ethnicity.. We get a look into those worlds while also not divulging from a show everyone can feel at its core, even if its not overtly relatable. The twists in the show are very well done because you never see it coming from 10 miles away. I think its cool too that this is mostly a debut for most of those involved in this show, and it surely is impressive to see the talent displayed here. I really hope there is a season 2 because I haven't finished a season of a show this quick in quite some time. Episode 9 was my favorite because of that line Luis said at the end about "Million Dollar Baby" lmfao, comedic gold. The birthday episode for Julio was very good and relatable though, I guess just don't date girls who dye their hair often and wear septum rings lol.

I'm impressed, But Not The Same
30 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I think it's valid that fans of the original Skins UK find this show a little lacking... Some of the acting isn't great, some of the moments are cheesy and even some of it is forgettable. I had finished Skins UK when I wanted more Skins, so I bought this on Amazon Prime... Since a week or two ago finishing episode 5 from the US version, I still find myself thinking about the UK version significantly more. It is the better version, there's just no comparison, but at the same time I still think this US version gets unfairly panned. The acting and authenticity gets better throughout the season, it really does capture the time in 2011 of when this came out very well, the styles, the antics, the micro aggressions, all of it. The same stuff I found good about season 5 & 6 of Skins UK are mostly what I found good about this series because they came out around the same time.

It seems as though the OG writers of Skins UK really wanted to capture some of the later seasons of that show in their glories in this episode and show. This episode reminds me a lot of Effy's delusions in the woods, and that camping trip episode overall but made to fit this show in particular. There are some VERY gorgeous shots in this episode, and it just makes me want to go to Canada overall. I'm really glad they took a trip there in the show, even though the whole show was filmed in Canada but made for US (oddly & strangely). And this episode does really well at capturing the essence and freedom of camping trips with groups of people for the most part I feel, it reminds me a lot of the trips with the Boy Scouts I took, even the climbing thing.

I think this is the best episode so far in this show. Tea seems to be the stepping stone for other plots to arise and a symbol of characters like Franky and the gay girl in Gen 2 of Skins UK. The fact that the writers made her a character seems to be intentional, a way of making the show not exactly 100% the same as Skins UK gen 1 was, a way to show more potential for the show. It's crazy how most of these actors/actresses didn't get any more gigs it seems after this show was canceled, Sofia Black Delia is really the star of this show though. It makes me wish we could have had more Skins US.

Holy Moley!!!!
2 July 2022
This has to be the best season finale of any show I've seen, either that or a close second. This is such an impressive closer for a first season, its unbelievable. I nearly cried when Carmy was talking at the beginning of this episode, Jeremy Allen White has to be one of the most underrated actors I've seen at this point, his performance is so powerful here. I sure as heck wasn't expecting the end to this episode and made me feel all sorts of emotions but overall I was heartwarmed. Very few shows have done what this one is doing, going straight for the soul with raw authenticity from the likes of Freaks And Geeks among others. The high ratings for this show are well deserved, I can't emphasize that enough. I need season 2 now!!!!

This Show Feels Promising
29 June 2022
FX doesn't miss w/ their shows for the most part, "The Bear", so far, is nothing short of that. There's a mystery around why Carmen is called the bear, maybe a name from childhood, maybe he's been bullied w/ the name & that's why he has visions or maybe he had some experience w/ an actual bear. Regardless, it makes the show even more interesting than it is and somehow the nickname fits right in with his character. I love the dichotomy between Carm and his workers, its all too toxic but feels all too real when it comes to the food service... Not to mention the dichotomy between him and his cousin who seeming co-owns(?) the restaurant they are all working at. Yeah, they captured what it feels like to work with family here, it's not all stars and stripes. I also love the hardcore and punk music laced throughout the show, Refused's "New Noise" plays through a re-written melody for the sure that just fits like a glove oddly. One of the chefs and family friends wears a Harm's Way shirt and Pearl Jam plays at the end. This show is so oddly infectious it reminds me of how I felt when I first watched Freaks And Geeks, it's infectious but you don't know why, it goes straight for your soul and wants you coming back for more. I'm glad I started watching this after I saw my friends post about the music in the show and how good it is, this show is truly starting to be a gem & its rare to see ratings go up in episodes over a season on this website. Can't wait to watch more.

Series 7 has very much felt like if Martin Scorcese made films about abandoned youth who grew up and the outcomes their lives had. We heard talks of Skins possibly putting out an actual film and if this is all we get I think they hit the nail on the head. But, I do wish we get some sort of Skins reunion down the line. I think it's pretty safe to assume how most of the characters in the previous generations would have turned out, you even get a note of where Anwar is in generation 2... So naturally the progession of the characters seems to be pretty natural all around when it comes to this final series. It feels all too real. Certainly I wasn't expecting Emma's parents to be gone once she, Charlie and Cook leave on foot but I also didn't expect it to be over by the time Louie found out where they were and left. By the end, we have Cook acting as a Harry Potter figure in a showdown w/ Louie, the Voldemort of the series perhaps, which is all I could be reminded of is how similar this is to that world like in the last Harry Potter film. It's quite harrowing how Cook is the hero of Skins now, he is a different character than he was in generation 2, and it makes sense that he would be selling drugs and not trying to delve into some of the other habits he had as much. That's what normally happens with so-called "wasters". When Cook said "It get under you skin and lives inside ya" I saw the wordplay going on there. It's a callback to the title of this show, I feel, and really just embodies how the experiences of our youth don't really leave us in one way or another. Cook finds a redemption arc in not killing some one who hurt his friend again like in generation 2, I feel at this point he finds some clarity as he says "it's good", most people probably wouldn't find clarity after killing some one, I'm glad Cook did because we surely have seen how big his heart is in series 4 and in these past 2 episodes. He may be involved in some things he shouldn't be he cares deeply for the people around him. Next year will be ten years since the last episode of Skins, hoping to get some sort of reunion or update. I think its also safe to say this series could have gone on longer, but it is well rounded and I think makes sense if u think about it in the end. And even if the writers did do this to save the ratings of the show, it sure did save it, this series has been so so good and probably the best closer of any show ive watched.

Warning: Spoilers
Calling back to the original generation, Cassie finds a boy named Jakob who weaves his way into her life by jealousy & stalking, similarly to Sid who bullied & manipulated her and even got jealous which seemed to turn away Cass... And this turned her away from Jakob as well. However, Jakob made Cass famous, taking pictures of her which got her recognized by a big name company that paid her for her modeling. Jakob then got jealous of this, even going as far as to assume she had been sleeping with other men like the head of said company. The stalking gets worse & Yaniv takes Cassie home concerned for her well being, but probably just to mess around with her. A conflict arises and Yaniv finds Jakob has been following them around, he beats up Jakob and the blood gushes. But Cassie just wants to appreciate what she and Jakob had rather than hold a grudge like she did toward Sid. In the first generation we saw the same promiscuous girl give into the first person fancying her, Sid, and because of how she was treated this led to her going off the deep end. The dichotomy here is different, even through Jakob's mania he told Cassie she was "beautiful and pure", something she's probably never been told, because of this or just because of how much more responsible she's become in a decent amount of ways, she sees that Jakob was right by continuing to model even after they broke up... She somehow finds the courage to mend and let her Father take a "vacation" to Italy while she takes care of her absolutely adorable and hilarious little brother Reuben. The only problem I have with these two episodes is the introduction of Maddie, she didn't serve much of a purpose in the development or even for Cassie, she was just introduced as a new character that seemed infectious from the get-go and that we could have learned a lot more about.. Though, it was good to see Cassie finally talking to the people living in her building or at least starting to. This whole series 7 has been like watching a movie, even though I hope we still get an actual film at some point. Something tells me Cassie is going to be great at filling the role her mother can't for Reuben because she passed so young in his life, who after doing some calculating, would have died when he was somewhere between the ages of 2-6 considering we hadn't heard of Cassie's mom being dead until this series. If you look back at the series 2 finale, you'll find that pictures were already taken of Cass somewhat similar to the pictures taken throughout these past 2 episodes, leaving Cassie's character arc destined from the beginning. Magnificent.
