I watched this film because I love Francis Ng. However, after watching it, I felt that his character in the film is redundant. The heart of the movie lies in the two police officers and their backstory. I was also hoping for a little bit more of murder and whodunnit, but this movie does not go there. Instead, it weaves a story of very real people who hold real jobs, normal people who get discouraged in life, and people we meet everyday, and felt compassion for, yet turn a blind eye. It is an ok movie, but not something I would watch again. Not even for Francis Ng, lol!

I love comedies, and Old Time Buddy does not disappoint!!! Most episodes made me laugh until my tummy hurts, even after numerous viewing. My favourite couple is Tse Yuen and Fong Fong -- so yeah, there are romance thrown in too!! Still a gem after 25 years. They dont make series as good as this anymore...

This is NOT a wuxia film -- don't watch this for the swordfights or chereography, and you will find the movie entertaining. Running at mere 90smins, The White Dragon can be a filler for your indoor time during the quarantine period.
The movie begins with the heroine's voiceover on her teenage hopes and dreams, and how her life turned out to be the complete opposite. The movie itself shows the audience how she came to stumble into a path she wouldnt dream of taking, but bravely walk the path anyway.
Love this movie to bits.
