Seulgiroun Euisasaenghal (2020)
My absolute favorite kdrama so far!
What a heartwarming tv drama! All five main characters are wonderful and what makes them even better is their friendship and how much they love each other.
The hospital stories they show are both wonderful and heartbreaking. Extremely realistic.
If you're thinking of starting this, do it without even blinking.
I look forward to the new season!!
Once Upon a Time (2011)
Nice tv series
An enjoyable show that was keeping me at the edge of my seat until the 5th season. After that I had to force myself to keep watching and finish the story. It had a lot of ups and downs but it had nice new stories that kept coming, which made it less boring.
Zalim Istanbul (2019)
Quite possibly the worst drama ending I've ever seen
I've watched several types of dramas over the years, American, Korean, Turkish, Brazilian etc.
This one has the worst ending I've seen in all of those! It was such (!) a good and promising drama until the last 3 episodes. Before those, it really made you want to see more and made you feel what the characters were feeling. But the writers along with the production and channel completely shattered it.
I wish they would have just cancelled it at ep 36, so we wouldn't have to go through this type of ending.
Nedim was the original victim of the series, but as the story progressed, we realized that Cenk was an equal victim of his own mother ever since the age of 8.
First, I want to mention that Ozan Dolunay (Cenk) is one of the best new actors I've seen in years and it was mostly his acting and character that kept the whole drama alive.
So, as the story progressed, we saw that the Nedim, who everyone thought was an angel stuck in a wheelchair, was actually as evil as Ceren and only sought of revenge, not caring who will die in the process, not even an unborn child. That should tell you what you need to know.
He kept on chasing Cenk instead of the real villain Seniz, because Cenk married Cemre, who Nedim declared, yes, you read that right, that belongs to him because she was the first woman to ever show interest in him. But let's make something clear here. She didn't show interest because she liked him as a man, but because she was his nurse and felt bad for him. Neither of their feelings were love. Nedim was just completely obsessed with her and Cemre thought that feeling sorry for someone is love after being fed of such misconception by Cenk, whose words were a just product of jealousy.
Cenk tried to kill himself so he doesn't carry that burden any more and so he can be free of his mother's manipulations but that wasn't enough for Nedim. He swore of revenge upon Cenk's hospital bed, when they didn't know if he would make it or not, declaring that this wasn't over. That and a lot of other things that have been mentioned here by other users make crystal clear that Nedim was a villain as well.
And Cenk... Poor Cenk. He had the worst ending of all. He couldn't even raise his son, because apparently while he was alive, Nedim and Cemre couldn't be together? The writing at the end became so childish that it was impossible to take seriously. Cemre was actually in love with Cenk and any sane person could tell, but it looks like the channel and writers were also bullied into such ending because they were threatened (yes, yes) but a bunch of 15 year olds who wrote under every single YouTube video of them, that if they didn't make Nedim the winner at the end of the series because he was disabled, they would create a movement to ridicule and penalize them.
Also, a very important note. Those "fans" of the show, said that Cemre and Cenk couldn't be together because Cenk was the father of her sister's child, but they forget that in Turkey, if the husband of a wife dies and he has another brother, then his family, re-marries her to him and she doesn't even have a saying to this. So, this was too immoral for them? Also, Cemre chased after Nedim even when she thought that he was really married to her sister who was expecting their child. Double standards much there, people?
I have so many other things to say but I'm still so, so heartbroken by that ending even after over 6 months.
I believe that if this drama was made in another county, where the channel wouldn't be threatened by the viewers or the government into a certain pattern, it could have been the best drama of the decade.
