Golden Era of Indian Football

Pele or Maradona?

Nah bro. Chuni Goswami and PK Banerjee.

What a film. The last 15 mins was filled with adrenaline rush and it was everything I am proud of. Being a hardcore football fanatic, this movie was a treat. Chuni Goswami and PK Banerjee, our Godfather of Indian football will get some recognition in other regions of India. Everything was inch perfect. The casting, the performance, The man himself Ajay the Action Jackson Devgan. The music. What a bgm. AR Rahman at it's best.

And lastly that header that inspired our Sergio Ramos Da and that Chuni free-kick that inspired our Roberto Carlos Da.

Lastly (promise), the only flaw was the negative characters lacked personality. There was no such arc. Even their redemption felt weak and I don't feel anything about it.

Apart from that, a brilliant film to show the AIFF just the last 1 min that it's been 64 years and the politics regarding our Indian football is still going strong. What a SHAME.

Pratidwandi (1970)

NOT A FILM. BUT LIFE.

I don't even know what to say and how to portray my feelings. This is beyond everything. Even calling it a Masterpiece is an understatement. The parallels, the irony, the politics, the revolution, the capitalism, the unemployment, the metamorphosis, the buildup to being fearless and revolutionary, the prostitution, a love born out of burnt fuse, an unexplainable condition behind unemployment being well educated and million other aspects. Satyajit Ray's mind is the most realest place you can ever visit. Every single interview scene is just master writing.

The parallel between the protagonist running from the prostitute just to end up fixing fuse and helping out his love interest is poetic convergent. The sound of the bird he was searching for since the beginning of the movie to hear it at last at the end is the greatest conclusion i have ever seen.

I think this movie itself is an institution and a self reflection of youth from different timeline. It's still relatable and it will continue to do so even after 100 years.

End of the day, we are all the same. Constituted of the same bone structure making us nothing special than other. All you need to do is to fight for your right and start the revolution and always remember the Vietnam war was more significant than the moon landing.

The Holdovers (2023)

A story all about Human bonding.

Human emotions ha?

Human connections? The bonding we build with other strangers over a small period of time is much greater than the ones we know since eternity. It's a story of human bonding and how a human needs other human to survive one single day without going crazy. It's a story about the relationship between a teacher and a student and how love born out of hatred. It's a story about loneliness and how a one single knock on the door can help you get through it. It's a story about making cherry jubilee and eventually burn it anyway. It's a story about exploring. Exploring different horizons of human emotion, human sides that are undiscovered. This is probably one of the best modern day Christmas movie.

The only complain i have is they didn't hug in the end. Just a handshake. It's sad no? But i think it's a hope. A hope that they will meet again after he is done with this school and they will share a beer and hug eachother goodbye.

A clear masterpiece.

Watching it after the Oscars event and i think Da'Vine Joy Randolph not only deserves the Oscar but the entire world. Everyone deserved an Oscar but some movies are bigger than awards. I will keep this movie for the rest of my life just in case it gets way too cold in December. I will know i am not alone. Three holdovers are with me to get it out of December. :')

Not everyone deserves great Art.

I do understand why there's such low rating to this cinematic art on IMDb. You need immense patience to understand and to feel the beauty behind an art. This movie is something that most of our "generational 15 seconds audience" will hate to sit through it and it's understandable. Not everyone deserves great art.

But I know one person does more than anyone. William Dafoe. He is THE ART.

It's a slow burn insight towards life and how the luxurious penthouse was not the cage but our own ideology. How you tend to notice minor things when you are trapped alone with your chaotic mind. William Dafoe, the legend delivered the performance of his life just like all his movies. Every single one of them. I just want you to have patience and to pay immense attention to the details and you will love the movie. I promise. Give it a go again. Watch it again and you will notice more things.

Just don't let this masterpiece die beneath the immense weight of baseless impatient reviews. :')

If it's raining and you have a scooter and there's a creepy house, get the hell out of there. Don't stay the night inside a stranger's house.

Indian version of Don't breathe. Great message but a very weak plot. The girls legit took dumb decisions and went back to the house multiple times to prove the movie's point in the end. Doesn't really make sense for the most of the time. The movie was disturbing but the sloppy writing ruins everything.

She legit saw a dead body and she knows they will kill em anyway but the geniuses went back to collect their dead phone. Standing ovation. It's the last thing a human will do. Hire some human writers, not bots.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022)

Finally, Wanda snapped and showed her real power. This wanda will absolutely clap Thanos single handedly. Thank god he never crossed his path with this Wanda. Or else, we would have missed Endgame movie. Also despite of everything, not an ideal movie for her power reveal. The movie was more about her than Sherlock. Sam Raimi tried his best to make this into horror but the writers betrayed him. Cool vfx, great acting and an average movie. Again someone defeated a god like antagonist using the most powerful weapon to ever exist in any reality, talk no jutsu. It works every single time.

Also, "I love you in every Universe" is something I want to convey to MCU but please hire good writers. I can't defend you every single time.

Also, I am angry because you killed Jim within 10 seconds. That's way too harsh.

Jersey (2022)

Brilliant Performance for Unnecessary Remake

2 Stars for Shahid's performance. The most underrated actor. I was kinda feeling bad for him.

An unnecessary remake.

I don't understand. Also, the timing of it's release. They picked the worst time to release this. There's no hype for this movie. Nothing. Very disappointed.

Only good thing about the movie is Shahid Kapoor's performance and Pankaj Kapoor's chemistry with Shahid.

Watch the original. This is not worth anything.

We are really lucky to actually own a childhood where we played and lived without any worry. Flee is one of the most powerful story I have ever seen and I pray to god that no one has to live this life. :) Oscar for sure.

Micheal Scott's Threat Level Midnight was far better than this. I don't think the movie was good in any department apart from Scott's Acting. You can watch it if there's nothing to watch. Absolutely Nothing. Or you can easily skip this. For sure. Definately not the worst work of Steve but it's somewhere close to that.

Odd Taxi (2021)

Unexpected. Let the story surprise you. One of the finest Anime.

Odd Taxi is such an unique story that it will hook you up instantly. The Characters are too good and will teach you something about life for sure. The storyline is too unique. The animation is so different and not your basic anime artwork. It's different and it doesn't even feel like an anime. A must watch to experience a great story and the ending. It's too good. Also the opening and ending songs are fire. Give it a go. You won't be disappointed.

Shershaah (2021)

Wow. What a movie. One of the realest biopic ever made in Bollywood. Siddharth silences Haters like charm. Finally he showed his true acting potential. So proud of him.

Each and every cast nailed their roles.

The end credits scene was everything.

A must watch for every Indian.

This Independence Day, we will remember our soldiers and Captain Vikram Batra with the highest honour.

Durge Maata ki Jay Jai Hind.

Guardian: The Lonely and Great God (2016–2017)

THE PERFECT KDRAMA. EVER.

I don't know how to describe the perfection of this show. When Im saying it got everything, im dead serious about this. Starting wid the best OSTs in any show, Stay with me is sheer Genius. It will make you cry like hell. The cast is perfect. Gong Yoo nailed the Goblin character. Every one is perfect. The comedic timing between Goblin and The Grim Reaper, The emotional tear jerker scenes between Goblin and His bride. It's perfection in disguise. Give it a try and you will be inside this universe for sure. A great choice for a starter to K drama universe. You will be satisfied with the ending and once again let me tell you how great the songs and bgm of this show. Totally worth watching. THE ONE OF THE GREATEST KDRAMA OF ALL TIME. PERIOD.

Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021)

The Justice League We Deserved.

First of all, I want to Thank Mr Zack Snyder for this beautiful gift. It's a complete different movie from 2017 Justice League. And it is it's plus point. It's a complete package and hell of a journey for 4 hours. It got everything that was missing from 2017. Character's backstory and their role in defeating the enemy. Everyone's contribution was believable. It's not just about Superman. And also a great ending. A must watch. Forget the 2017 version. This is the real Justice League we Deserved.

Jujutsu Kaisen (2020– )

A SHONEN FULFILLING EVERY DEPARTMENT. ALMOST.

I don't know how to describe the perfection of this anime. Great Characters, One of the greatest OP and Ending theme. Three reasons to watch this anime. 1. Amazing Plot wid great animation 2. Great music wid great action sequences 3. Gojou Satoru That's it. Just lacking few emotional Strings. Overall, worth watching every single episodes.
