The Nanny: The Bank Robbery (1997)
Season 4, Episode 16
9/10
Maxwell - Oh Ms.Fine it's you.
8 May 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Fran - No it's not. It's stupid!

The show starts off with Maxwell's impersonal Valentine's Day card to Fran that backfires. An argument ensues and Maxwell tells Fran he regrets telling her he loved her. It makes for some funny moments during the bank robbery.

This is a very funny episode. Yetta has met a new man and Sylvia is worried he's after Yetta's $200 in social security. The man who we never see wants to marry her. Fran says "Why? Ya pregnant?" To which Yetta replies "I don't think so but I'm REALLY late."

Sylvia and Fran head to the bank to make sure Yetta can't take out any money without Sylvia's signature as well.

Val drives them to the bank but stays in the car while Sylvia & Fran go in the bank.

This is where the chaos begins with an absolutely incompetent bank robber.

I won't spoil any more but I really enjoyed this episode as you can tell by my rating.

Three's Company: The Life Saver (1979)
Season 4, Episode 6

Paradise Towers
31 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
The trio is not happy with the deteriorating conditions in their apartment. Furley claims his hands are tied as his brother Bart, who we finally meet next season, is too cheap to pay for repairs.

On the other hand, Furley is upset with all of the noise coming from the trios apartment. Eventually this comes to a head.

Jack heads to work for a night at a very fancy restaurant. When he comes home, he tells the girls he saved a man's life at the restaurant. A man was choking and Jack used the Heimlich Maneuver to save his life.

It turns out that man is Lyle Wormwold (Phil Leeds) and he owns a luxury oceanfront apartment by the name of Paradise Towers. He is so grateful to Jack he offers him a luxury apartment rent-free for a year.

No more spoilers. Not a top episode but an enjoyable episode with plenty of laughs. The conclusion is quite good!

Corner Gas: You've Been Great, Goodnight (2009)
Season 6, Episode 19

What's Brent Doing On Wednesday's
14 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Sadly this was the last episode of my favorite Canadian sitcom. An excellent finale.

I'll try not to spoil too much but Brent leaves Corner Gas early and in a rush on Wednesday. Later at The Ruby Wanda tells Lacey & Hank that he leaves early every Wednesday but doesn't know where he goes. Emma & Oscar arrive at The Ruby and they don't know where Brent goes either.

Lacey scolds everyone for their curiosity in knowing where Brent goes every Wednesday. ....but alas the next morning Lacey practically begs Brent to tell her. Lacey teases him and accuses him of seeing a woman in private. Brent doesn't deny this.

Now everyone is on a mission to find out the whereabouts of Brent on Wednesday's.

That's it for now but the answer should have been obvious for the real life Brent. I liked the future for each character being shown.

I guess there's no place like home.

Maybe The Best From The Series
6 February 2022
I know this was only 13 episodes. It shocks me that it was cancelled as it was a very entertaining show.

This episode in particular had excellent writing, was well directed and the two leads were excellent.

Highly recommended.

A New Classic Two Part Episode....
6 February 2022
This I didn't expect. Season 33 and these episodes could hold up in any season as great episodes. Maybe not the best of the season but up there near the top. It's been a few seasons since I've seen anything this great.

Highly recommended.

Laverne & Shirley: Guinea Pigs (1977)
Season 2, Episode 14
10/10
I nearly died today....
13 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Laverne & Shirley both take part in human studies. Laverne has to go through sleep deprivation & Shirley can't eat, in order to raise enough money pay for an expensive cocktail party.

The sequence where they pay $20 and arrive at the party is worth the price of admission. (It might just be the best 5 1/2 minutes of your day).

Laverne plays the part of someone beyond exhausted perfectly and does quite a summersault from a sitting position, as she can't keep her eyes open.

Shirley shines here carrying Laverne to the buffet table doing the "bunny hop". There's absolute comedy gold when Shirley subtlety, (extreme sarcasm), pounces on a cracker that's dropped to the floor.

Another example of Penny & Cindy making a fabulous team. Highly recommended.

She Loves Somebody But Not Jack.....
4 July 2021
Warning: Spoilers
A magazine's quiz makes Jack think either Janet or Terri is in love with him. Leave it up to Larry to suggest a weekend trip to a cottage in the woods to clear things up. Nice to see the trio and Larry out of the apartment for a change of pace.

In this episode the set is fairly elaborate. It includes a pond with a boat. Both Larry and Jack fall out of the boat.

For me the highlight was the scene with Jack mistaking Larry for Janet, only realizing it after kissing Larry's (hairy) hand.
