Pretty good
6 September 2022
Being someone who's absolutely terrified of heights I found this quite uncomfortable to watch, but it is a pretty good film actually. Good story and acting to be fair, and the whole social media thing is believable in this day and age. The scary thing is there a people crazy enough to do this kind of thing, although for the life of me I can't understand why! Seeking excitement and adrenaline is one thing, but this is a whole new level.

It might sound ironic but I'll stick with skydiving - trust me it's a totally different experience.

Anyway, this isn't a bad film and definitely worth watching...

Worth watching

Pretty good film, good story, some great acting - especially by Winstone - but it doesn't inspire you or evoke emotion like Cinderella Man. Still recommend it though.

Boring.
17 May 2022
I can't understand all the rave reviews, all I can think is this is made for women and rated by them. No offence but I had to stop after 25 minutes.

Give it a miss guys, unless you have insomnia.

Watchable

It's not a great film but compared to recent efforts it's not that bad either. The shark footage is acceptable, as is the acting, and the film moves along at a good pace. This isn't a film you would watch more than once, but it's still quite entertaining - I wasn't bored by it.

Why all the fuss?

This may be an unpopular opinion but I thought it was quite boring, and certainly not worth three hours. Not a slur on Pattinson because he does a pretty good job, but the film is still too long and lacking substance. This is overrated for sure.

Masterpiece

This series has to be one of the best in recent times, if not the best. The character development, story, cinematography and plot are all on point. I'm not going over old ground because previous reviews already do it justice, but suffice to say I think it's outstanding. And as for Rip, what a character!

Started Well

The first season was compelling and the second was quite good, but by the third it lost it's magic so I left it at that. Best advice I can give is stop after the second.

Excellent
20 March 2022
I've seen every episode twice and would watch it again, it's probably the best series I've seen, even better than True Blood and Sons Of Anarchy. I'm surprised how it's gone under the radar because it offers everything - a gripping story, likeable anti hero and characters, sex, nudity and copious amounts of violence. Also it finished after running it's course instead of dragging on unnecessarily. If you haven't seen this yet give it a go, you will know by the end of the first episode whether it's your thing, and if it is you'll be hooked.

Light Entertainment

In places it feels like a hybrid of Back To The Future and Star Wars, but the story is pretty good and so is the acting. It's also quite moving at times and when it comes to sarcasm, wit and humour Ryan Reynolds is the benchmark. So basically just sit back and enjoy it for what it is.

Boring
4 March 2022
Unfortunately I watched it all, not because I enjoyed it, but for some stupid reason I wanted to see the outcome. Wish I hadn't bothered. It was too long, too dull and I didn't give a s*** about any of the characters. Also I don't know a soul on the planet who would stay on such a mundane, moody, depressing holiday. If you haven't seen this yet, trust the reviews and don't bother!

Not a shark movie.
3 March 2022
This isn't a shark movie or a horror, it's more of a whodunit. To be fair the acting isn't bad but I found the whole thing quite boring, and there are definitely better ways to spend your time.

Nope.

The protagonist is a poor actress, her friend is unlikable and the story is unbelievable on every level. I mean the things the ghost can and can't do are absolutely ridiculous. Maybe the whole spice thing is a reference to the creators of this.

Oh and btw, why are people who haven't seen this giving it 10??!! Really not helpful.

Is this a wind up, like how many bad films can be released in the shortest amount of time?? I wanted to like it but it's just awful. Seriously don't waste your time... Housework would be more enjoyable.

Terrible
28 January 2022
Okay there will never be a shark film that even comes close to Jaws, but there has been some half decent efforts. This however is not one of them. The story, characters, acting, CGI and cinematography are all dire. I was actually annoyed that I wasted an hour & half on this, don't make the same mistake!

Not impressed.
3 December 2021
The only redeeming feature of this is Brad Dourif returning as the voice of Chucky, although he doesn't feature enough at all. There is too much focus on characters you don't care about, and some questionable acting.

The woke element is just too much, and it's done for this what it did for the I Know What You Did Last Summer series - turn people off. I made it to the end of episode 2 by fast forwarding but can't take any more.

A disappointing 3 from me.

Far fetched but fun

No need to be over critical, just take it for what it is - a couple of hours of entertainment with a pretty good story and plenty of action. Throw in Dwayne Johnson being himself, the excellent wise cracking Ryan Reynolds, Gal Gadot for eye candy and what else do you need. It's nothing special but an enjoyable watch with enough going for it to keep your interest.

Not really worth writing a full review on this, watch it if you're a Megan Fox fan or really can't find anything else.

Disappointed
25 August 2021
It looks like whoever is responsible for this has put The Godfather, Goodfellas, The Sopranos & Sons of Anarchy into a mixer and hoped for the best... Sadly it comes up very short on all counts. I had high hopes despite the negative reviews, but I have to concur. It's not much better than watching Mafia documentaries on the History channel. Each to their own though so decide for yourself.

Listen to everyone else and avoid!
24 July 2021
After reading lots of reviews I thought surely it can't be that bad... Well worse! The opening scene was enough for me - CGI like that in this day and age is simply unacceptable! I knew instantly I wouldn't be able to sit through it.

Massively Flawed
11 March 2021
I'll keep this short but have to say this film is a huge letdown, the people that gave great reviews obviously don't expect much from a film - sorry!

The concept is good, but that's about all that is good. You don't care about the fate of any of the characters, including the protagonist, and the plot has enough holes to sink a ship (pun intended). Finally we're left with an ending that thinks it's intelligent, but is basically an insult to the viewers intelligence because like the rest of the film it just makes no sense.

With a bit more thought it could have been much better.
