AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
7 February 2002
What a masterpiece! 2-part movie collecting ALL the knowledge of ignorant action and trash from history. I loved it so much I couldn't help watching it 5 times and I am not getting tired of it! rolling, funny, astonishing and terribly cool, this movie projects you inside a totally unexpected hell-on-earth after a superclassic Tarantino's-style beginning. Cool. Very cool. :)

Amazing animation! Hystorical moment!
6 September 2001
This animation should enter history for its spectacular, astonishing computer grafics, the first step towards fision between cartoon and film! Ok, the plot is average and a little "crowded" (a bit too many things happening in too little time, they should have made it a bit longer). Ok, the dialogues sometimes reminded me of "Independence Day" or any other brainless bulls**t. But, Jeezes! it's worth watching just for the animation itself! UNBELIEVABLY FANTASTIC! I didn't give 10 just for the lousy dialogues... And while you watch, don't forget to remind yourself that you're watching an animation and not a movie... ;)

DIE, you lousy Human!! (spoiler warning)
6 September 2001
Warning: Spoilers
What a disappointment. Full America-Kick-Ass movie on the style of "Independence Day". Yes, costumes are fantastic, music and sound effects are extremely good... but that's about it! Where's Tim Burton? where his irony? Where's the original novel? The movie is poor, actors are poor (especially Mark Wahlberg, who, more than the monkeys, looks like an ape), dialogues are poor, plot is obvious and full of stereotypes. This movie is not a remake nor a re-arrangement: they picked up a couple of elements from the original (fantastic) novel and that's it! They made the usual brainless standard action stuff that you can see every day on TV: the bad "guys" are ugly and mean and the good "guys" are pretty and nice and the usual things happen. One thing: Tim Roth, although super-pumped, super-evil, super-stereotype, is pretty cool...

One of my all-time favorites!
6 September 2001
I LOVE this movie! Probably the most epic with Bud & Terence. Super-funny spaghetti western. All the typical elements of their films are present: lots of bar fights, people flying everywhere, the usual, wonderful cheap jokes... legendary the final mega-fight between the mormons and the bad guys! A Must-see for every age! :D

Blow (2001)

Very good and well done. Highly recommended!
20 August 2001
I really liked "Blow". Johnny Depp is almost unrecognizable, but as good as ever in these out-of-the-ordinary roles. The movie was well balanced, with good shots and photography, good dialogues and a very well given atmosphere. Maybe a little bit "standard" in the plot (a classic rise-to-power-and-fall) but well organized and not too obvious. And still you don't watch this movie just for the plot, but mostly for the situations, dialogues and the characters resented. A good movie.

eheh... BRAINLESS ACTION!!! :)
20 August 2001
I liked it! eheh it was funny and I was at times rolling on the floor! Not a good movie, but at least it's really NON STOP action! FX are pretty good and I liked also the fact that the movie does not pretend to be an Oscar winner: they knew they were making a simple movie and they did that well. Perfect for a relaxing evening when you just want to switch off the brain and have a good laugh without getting bored... :)

BAD... no, WORSE!(spoiler warning)
20 August 2001
Warning: Spoilers
I think this movie was a complete crap, from the beginning to the end. I wasn't expecting much, but I'm sorry to admit that it was below expectance! Poor plot: you already know the end after more or less 2 minutes and you can guess the full plot with most details after maybe 15 minutes. Poor actors: even the use of a good actor such as John Voigt doesn't improve because he was assigned a mostly irrelevant role (a bit like King Arthur in Costner's "Robin Hood" :)). The "bad guys" are all bad and mean and dressed in black and the good guys are all beautiful and perfect. The realization is a poor copy that oscillates between Mission Impossible and Matrix and the dialogues and mostly pointless. Probably U2's video is better than the movie itself! The only reason I didn't give 1 is because Angelina Jolie looks extremely pretty, cool and she kicks ass... ;)

Seek and Destroy
20 August 2001
Woody shoots down all the foundations of the American Dream, makes fun of public opinion, education, sex, social relations and politically correctness. The deep, bitter clown jumps up again and gives you good laughter with his sarcasm, but he makes you wonder too, by undressing naked this "society" so absurd and self-contradicting. I loved the interaction with his own characters, like in many older movies. Not his best, but probably the best among his latest movies. and he's always a great GENIUS and will always be.

Extremely funny!
20 August 2001
I loved it! AHAH!!! Very funny comedy, in a perfect Steve Martin style and with this wonderful "English touch" by Michael Cayne. Simple and though partially unpredictable, it rips away from you sudden bursts of spontaneous laughter and leaves you with a good taste in your mouth. Perfect for a relaxing evening or a laugh with some friends.

My all-time favourite!!!
20 August 2001
This is definitely my favourite movie! It's the only one that I really NEED to watch every few months. It's a TOTAL movie. Extreme in all senses. Very funny, great actors (Belushi and Aykroyd at their best!), wonderful music played by the real musicians and the most spectacular car chase in all history! No further comments needed. A Must for everyone!

the TOTAL Sellers
20 August 2001
Super Sellers gives full show of his great abilities by playing completely different characters, Like he did in "Dr.Strangelove". Only this time he's pushing to the extreme! Hilarious movie, great comedy. I didn't give a super vote because (alas) it is only Peter Sellers who keeps it going, although it's more than enough for a genuine laugh! :) No, HE is GREAT (was it really needed to say so? even after the Pink Panther series?)

Great as always!!!
20 August 2001
What a movie!!!!!!! I loved it since the first time! Super-ironic, anti-heroic and, as usual, ferocious towards our society! Funny gags, historical dialogues and his great genius make this movie a Must. ...uhm... maybe all of his movies till 1980 should be "a Must"... :)

PURE GENIUS!!!!!!!!!!!
20 August 2001
I LOVE Woody! This movie states his great genius, his wonderful ability to play with characters, dialogues and situations. Each episode is a unique proof of genius, until the last one, which I could place at the highest steps of cinema just for the idea! A masterpiece. Maybe actors are not always particularly exciting and the directing skills are still under development, but it deserves a 10 for the pure display of genius!

AAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!
20 August 2001
Oh my God what an Apocalyptic movie! It's GREAT! Every time I watch it, I end up under the couch rolling and laughing till I almost cannot breathe anymore! Peter Sellers now plays only one character, but he concentrates ALL his POWERS in this one. This endless chain of uncontrolled catastrophies will lead anybody to a heartstopping laughter!

Super good, brilliant... PERFECT!
20 August 2001
Kubrik proved to be a complete director by dealing basically with every possible branch of cinema: comedy, drama, war, historical... and by excelling in every field! This movie is BRILLIANT. photography, dialogues, situations, atmosphere, characters... everything matches together. And Peter Sellers? Peter Sellers probably at his best gives the final blow to make this movie an authentic MASTERPIECE. an ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE.

Hilarious! Peter Sellers is great as usual!
12 August 2001
Every time I watch this comedy, I end up rolling on the floor from laughter! I love it! The "destroying sequences" are unstoppable and the innocent smile of Peter Sellers becomes more and more a synonime of apocalypse and annihilation. Many people consider it offensive towards Indians, but I think it's a rather "simple minded" comment. The movie is just making fun of the "Holliwood Vips" and that's not even the major point. The movie is just one huge, satisfactory LAUGH! Recommended!
