The Marriage Fool (1998)
Typical 1990s housewifery stuff
I really don't know how real and talented actors such Burnett and Matthau got this cheap gig... Stamos, (as usual), and company are perfect soap (opera) bars.
So stupid and kitschy. Totally afternoon TV movie range.
Ellie Parker (2005)
Déjà-Vu. Total waste.
Among the field about "the Hollywood life and System", it's a total crap full of eternal stereotypes, "copy and paste" holograms, too much easy points of view/research. As well as a fictional documentary job, it sucks. Watts, as usual, is an inexpressive, blank "babe" whose name was intended to fuel the box office. Such a pity, the flick, fortunately, was a total "fiasco"... Audience sometime knows...
Modesty Blaise (1966)
Campy surreal.
Vitti totally wasted.
The narration is under the LSD effect, as well as the entire plot. The cast's very pretentious.
Nice decorative work, just this.
Extremely boring.
Identikit (1974)
Putting 3 stars.
Why?... I must precise I do like the 1970s' Taylor crapping. As well as John Waters did. On the other hand, this feature still remains one among her worst works (and mistakes) she's ever got through. Very dopey. Dame Taylor was a real talented actress and there are not questions about the performing act she gave. Even in this "junkie". When you are a strict artist, you make it anyway. Patroni Griffi has always been an overrated director and author, in my personal opinion. Enjoy "the vision".
Eu Te Amo (1981)
Underrated masterpiece
I personally admit I'm into Brazilian cinematic experimentation. Here, the plot could seem surreal but it isn't at all. Just think about the socio-political context existing in Brazil at that epoch. Alternative and "controversial" issues were always severely banned, since Sganzerla and Rocha began in 1960s.
Actors and filmmakers who believed and embraced the idea in order to make a radical change are ALWAYS precious gems to keep alive and kicking in our heritage. People to treasure, then.
I cannot stand all this bigotry comments/reviews merely concerning sex scenes and full nudity. People who are miserably interested in peeking Braga's tits or "X rated action" stuff, among this movie, would better get a quick search entering Xhamster or Youporn.
The 1980 climate is astonishing. The photography is excellent, as well as the scenography.
