The Horror of Dolores Roach (2023)
Response to an earlier review
I thoroughly enjoyed this series, one moment laughing out loud and the next totally repulsed by the gore and cannibalism, but it was quite entertaining from beginning to end. I do want to respond to an earlier reviewer who posted: "The show also features a strong supporting cast, including K. Todd Freeman as Jeremiah, a mysterious blind man who befriends Dolores; Luna Blaise as Ileana, a young woman who becomes Dolores' love interest; and Kevin Alejandro as Sam, Dolores' estranged father who is a cop." Maybe they saw the one-woman play this series is based on? In this series, Jeremiah drives a truck, so is clearly not blind, and I don't remember either character of Ileana, a love interest, or Sam, the father.
For All Mankind: Bring It Down (2022)
Sick of Danny melodrama
So the drug-addled psychopath just happened to be the only one paying attention during a critical stage of drilling for water? Sure, why not. At least the episode ended with some action reminding them and us just how dangerous space can be. Otherwise, I am SO over any storyline involving Danny. So far, I haven't enjoyed this season nearly as much as the first two. Despite some soap opera elements even then, there was way more focus on the space race, space exploration, and the dangers and moral dilemmas involved.
