Unidentified with Demi Lovato (2021)
Surprisingly VERY GOOD Investigative show! Well done, Miss Lovato!
First thing, I applaud Demi for her bravery. It is not easy to say out loud that you have seen and experienced the unknown. She has been ridiculed and criticized but she came out strong sticking to her guns about the supernatural and the unexplained. Her show has shown more concrete mind blowing evidence than those other long running investigative series on Travel and Discovery channels combined. And I love that she does all fashionably, too! She was so calm doing her investigations. None of the over acting screaming, chaotic camera movements because someone claimed to be, "touched". Demi is just sooo cool and collected. And OMG the part where she was communicating though a device and getting an intelligent response, girl...you're a natural. And singing to a ghost???!!! I couldn't even utter a word out when I thought I heard a whisper behind me (it was the AC).
Dallas and Matthew are perfect companions. I love that there is a balance between all 3 of them. Matthew's skepticism is perfect because his questions project the sentiments of the less believing viewers. Then Dallas adds a twist by leaning more towards the spiritual unknown vs the unexplained science. They support each other and it's just a wonderful show! Great job!

This brought the magic back
I didn't think this movie would be anything more than angry pixie bikers, centaur police, squabbling siblings. It's got heart as big as someone needing to diet and avoid salt. I love, love, LOVE this film. I appreciate the intention, thought process because it made sense and was very heartwarming. A must see!
U-Turn (2020)
Story was bleh but the acting was pretty good.
The plot could've been more sinister, maybe adding a bit more concrete scary scenarios would've made this film nicer instead of just having a fully made up witch chick crawl on the dirty floor. It lacked the spice of a real horror movie BUT it's not super horrible. Amidst all these, Kim Chiu still shined in the movie. She's capable of resuscitating this lackluster film and kinda put a pulse in it. Even if it's bradycardic.

Why is it always dark and dreary
I love Kate Beckinsale in the Underworld movies but I feel like she's typecasted as an action star that can only do scenes with limited lighting. But again, it works for her so kudos. The movie was not horrendous but it's not captivating either. It was a bit monotonous with not enough material to funnel the plot and make the story more interesting. Instead, all the brouhaha was about a bad date turned great after a one night stand. There was so much that can be explored with her anger suppressing gadget. Sad that it ran out of power.
Don't Let Go (2019)
Ahmazing!
I truly appreciate films that make me say things like, "ah hell nah!", or "no he didn't!", or "what just happened" followed with, "damn that was good!" And I've said all that in this movie (well, also when I go tequila tasting). It's tantalizing paired with great acting, I was immersed in their reality. Well done!
The Tank (2017)
True story? And these are the types of ppl we're sending to Mars?
The idea was promising until they rolled the film. Ok, let's say this was loosely based on a true story, well whoop-de-doo we're gonna f* up Mars, too? The story line was laughable. And I'm not gonna lie, there were moments I LOL'd because of the silliness so it did entertain a bit, especially the end scene. Glad there's ffwd.
My Amanda (2021)
Cliche-ish
I tried giving it a chance by watching it for about 36 minutes. What a waste of time! Highly irritating dialogues in very cringy situations, like a teen movie in the 90's but played by adults in their 30's. It's cheesier than a block of asiago. Not cute, not romantic, and definitely not good.
Atypical (2017)
Ingenious
Seasons 1-2 had more depth. The actors were brilliant and the storyline was on point. 3rd and 4th seasons, felt like the part of Casey was overdone. Too much drama and the gf was greatly annoying. I agree with the dad. So I FF it when it's their scenes.
Overall this movie has heart. I enjoyed watching it.
