Wasted potential?
3 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I really like heist movies, call me basic or boring, but I find them fun. So I started watching and it was pretty great. I did not know about the shuffled play order, but I got kinda lucky and got pink second to last (basicly the ending of the show, watch it last if you wanna have a nice conclusion), with last being the heist itself. I really liked the actors and some of the plot beats around the episodes. I would maybe like more character development. The only thing that kinda ruined the show is the heist. The daughter being on it and swaping the boxes was not a twist and it was really predictable and the show does not know if to go with it or make it a big surprise, so they try to do both and it does not work. The motivation being it is also really funky. But in the end the bad guys all won. And that kinda did not work. There was no happy ending for any character, which would be fine if it was satisfying. The main bad guy will eventually get of out of jail, probably really soon. The rich corrupt billionaires got all they wanted and more. The FBI agent gets her life ruined and then is killed, Leo is killed by the bad guys son, which was a wierd way to go with. Judy probably runs off with money and leaves Stan stranded. It kinda feels like everything will have some really satisfying ending, but then some asshat went into a writers room, scratched everything and wrote giant: "THEY ALL DIED. THE END. GO TO BED." I dont know, it had the potential, but some parts just do not fit in.

Pleasently surprised and not disapointed
25 November 2022
When I saw Wednesday pop up on Netflix, I kinda though it is gonna be another Witcher - Buy IP, bend it over, milk it and ruin it. But no. It was really enjoyable ride with great new characters and a pretty good take on the Addams family. The only thing I would say was subpar was Pugsley. He was much more timid and un-Addamsy than in other media, but it was handled pretty well. And for our protagonist? I adored her, she was capable, but not a Marry Sue. She was snarky and funny when needed and serious when it made sence. The plot is giant mystery that is kind of easy to guess, but the twist was well made regardless, because it made sence. It was not just a "Dysney twist villain" situacion.

All and all, the actors were great, the plot was fun and intense, the score was amazing and it was really enjoyable!

Dull and Boring
24 July 2022
This show is a drag. You start of thinking that it may be survival horror with bit of an action. Then it turns into a teenage soap opera. The flicking between present and past kills the pace in both timelines. The only character I even remotely liked was Wesker, because he is played by an actually good actor. The rest act either completely dumb or like bratty asshats. Even though I really tried to find something to like it was harder by the episode. This show is duller than a broken sandwich and more boring than watching the paint dry. I havent play single RE game or watched other properties but if they are as dull as this I dont even want to.

Meh, Wow and Bleh
23 August 2021
Honestly I really liked the animation, soundtrack and fight scenes, but thats kinda it. I hated the ending and final plot twist, because it completely rewrites a really important plot point in the Witcher universe. If it was made somewhat well, I would be okay with that, but the way the writers did that was just bad. Story is kinda meh, and Vesemir is fun character, until you remember its Vesemir, so another rewrite. Some people coplain about diversity, honestly I did not care about that. Some parts of the story felt without any pay of. If this was made with a completely unknown witcher and completely different school of witchers, or be a completly different universe it would be 8, but the heavy disrespect to the most important parts of the lore really bumed me out.
