American Horror Story: Apocalypse Then (2018)
Good in it's own way
A lot of reviews stating that the ending was not as good as the season deserverd. I kind of get that, because, with all the connections to previous AHS links, I loved the season and was kind off dissappointed bij the ending.
Neveretheless I think the ending wasn't all that bad, if you look past this season on it's own. The timewalking to kill the antichrist before he gets too powerfull is a little bit lame, but therefore unsuspected as well. The unsuspected part is a good thing, in my opinion.
The ending with another evilish (probably new antichrist) child being born through two of the characters in the first few episodes is pretty awesome I'd say, I think it shows that the ''prime evil'' will always be here, and when the current evil is defeated, the next one will show up sooner or later to be faced yet again.
The world has seen many evil's that had to be beaten as long as we remember, and a new one (or maybe the same, in a different body) will always arise and require another generation to get rid of it.
Monsters Inside: The 24 Faces of Billy Milligan (2021)
Interesting story, chaotic/distracting editing.
An interesting story about a guy who did a lot of bad things to a lot of people and (probably) had a lot of bad things done to him in his childhood.
In the first 2 episodes the idea of him having a multiple personality disorder, as a result of traumatic experiences at a very young age made sense in a way.
In the final episode it becomes clear that he didn't and that he knew what he was doing all along. He just was clever enough to fool "experts" and the justice system.
Damaged in his childhood: pretty sure. Multiple personality disorder (let alone 24 different ones): not at all.
