Just AWFUL
11 December 2006
Warning: Spoilers
My friend and I were so excited for this to come out on DVD since we missed it in the theaters so this weekend I bought it. We have seen MANY horror/thriller movies and this was literally one of the worst we've seen. Especially considering the decent cast they had! It started out as a somewhat scary (albeit carbon copy of movies like "The Ring" and "The Grudge" in the way it was filmed) and got progressively worse. It tried to be too many things; by the end it actually took on a 28 Days Later and Dawn of the Dead theme that was laughable. I am so bummed that I spent 20 bucks on this movie. I mean, See No Evil and Stay Alive were even better and that's not saying much! Don't do it. Pick up the phone and call someone that can help you through your cravings for over-budget cheesy horror movies; you are not alone...

About a Boy (2002)

GO SEE THIS MOVIE NOW!!!
22 May 2002
What an incredible movie. I definitely think that this movie qualifies as one of the best films of the year. A film that appeals to all ages, sexes, and personalities, About a Boy is both hilarious and touching. Hugh Grant was phenomenal and Toni Collette and Nicholas Hoult played equally great supporting roles.

After seeing this movie, I was all smiles the rest of the day. What a nice feeling to come out of a movie feeling hopeful and giddy.

Can anyone say "Made for TV"?
18 April 2002
I was very disappointed with Domestic Disturbance when I watched it last night. Sure it was moderately entertaining, but the movie would have been much better served as a "Movie of the Night" on channel 2. Completely predictable with no real climax, I would say this movie is a waste of time and money.

Serendipity (2001)

This movie had a somewhat magical feel
18 April 2002
Serendipity is a great movie for those of us about to give up on fate and romance. With a great cast (Is it just me, or is Kate Beckinsale a great up-and-comer?), including John Cusack, Kate Beckinsale and Molly Shannon, this movie is highly entertaining. There's something about the music and the way the scenes are shot that gives it an almost sparkling, magical appeal. If you want your optimism back and your heart warmed, Serendipity is the movie for you tonight.

Well worth the Oscar
3 April 2002
I saw A Beautiful Mind the day before the Oscars. I had been anticipating the film for months and finally convinced someone to see it with me (practically everyone I knew had seen it already). From the first 5 minutes I knew I was going to be touched deeply by this movie. Ron Howard, Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly..., did an excellent job of telling us the story of John Nash. And what a story it was.

I would absolutely recommend this movie to anyone who believes in strength, hope, courage and above all, love.

Where's the climax?
3 April 2002
Not much of a movie. Although I liked the "happy" ending, the rest of the movie leading up to it was pretty bland. The trouble Julia/Bonnie got Luis into was never ending. They kept going on in this miserable state and acting like suicidal lovers. I would not recommend this movie too highly. It was entertaining on some levels, but mostly it was an over-dramatized romance with no REAL plot.

Oscar Caliber
9 November 2001
Just kidding! This was one of the worst movies I have ever seen! It was so bad though, that it was hilarious. My friend and I purposly rented it because it looked so bad. Cheesy old horror flicks are always good for some laughs. The plot stunk, some of the voices were dubbed, the quality was horrendous. But I sure had a blast watching it!
