Jeff Dunham: Beside Himself (2019)
I'am not laughing
The only reason for me for not laughing when watching this show, it's because the jokes were too smart. And playing a few characters with different personality is not an easy thing.
Made an echo, sound effects, accents, and gesture?! It definitely took years to master.
Kaijû no kodomo (2019)
The purpose is to see, not understanding it.
First thought, I was giving 7/10. At the end, a single idea of conclusion on this film remain unknown. Besides incredible work of art, the rest of them are hardly understandable.
Second thought. Maybe, the creator wants to gave us the idea that universe are far too complex. And we only saw like less than 10% things in this universe or bigger than that. Conclusion, it is hard to explain with words, but when we saw what exactly happen, we know what happen. And yes, we may don't need to twist our brain to understand.
Just see, it's enough.
The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window (2022)
"Do not expect that much of dark comedy, but still enjoyable" movie
I was hoping there is gonna be a lot of dark comedy, although what I saw early it's just a sprinkle of comedy. Well, it did not fulfill the dark comedy expectation. But, if viewers watched it without being bother by the genres, it wasn't that bad. Also, a few too forced movements are contain in this movie. Which a little bit cringey , but it's okay. Still fun to watch.
Aside from matters that I mention above. Through the process of watching this movie, I realise. I'm not that pro in making a guess of a plot in movies XD. Some critics are really neat and insightful. I respect them as a beginner critic.
The plot twist is 4.5/5 for me.
Penyalin Cahaya (2021)
Recommended, especially for Indonesian.
Fullfil my high expectations. This could be a chance for Indonesian film industry to revive again. Still shivering from the last scene. How the story build was amazing. Usually there could be an odd aspect appreance, but It didn't bluntly showed here.
Ae-bi-gyu-hwan (2020)
Should it be a short movie?
The lack of element in the plot made the movie seems better if it's pack in the form of short movie.
It might be better to showed additional scenes, such as;
To-il's flashback that could be made more detailed;
Explanation of Ilwoo's mother;
Whose father that will be holding To-il's hand on her wedding day;
Etc.
Love Hard (2021)
Well dilevered simple message
It was actually kinda' sweet story. Rejection at the start evolved through the dishonesty that revealed.
For me, the massage was simple. Honesty is one of the most important part at building a relationship.
And it was showed very clear in the movie.
You don't need to flip your brain to understand the whole plot. That is why it's a perfect movie to enjoy with your lover.
