The story is adequate. When you've watched as many movies and read as many books as I have the story comes across basic, recognizable. My favorite part of this that kept me watching was the time it occurs. The costumes, set designs, props, style in general thrill me (I'm a tactile, visual artist). I also like the cast even though the leads seem flat it reads like a book. I can't explain that further. Saying that, I do like the cast. I don't know if I'd watch if it wasn't visually pleasing for me. Overall decent entertainment while otherwise engaged, artwork, cleaning, etc... There's definitely worse out there.

Tea Leoni and Tim Daley didn't first strike a chord of enthusiasm as a must watch addictive series... alas was I wrong. They both fill the lead rolls well. Tea also demonstrates her typical humor which is great when it's the entire basis. Nice balance of drama, humor, government vs domestic role, more relatable than some programs based in government service. Highlights the intricacies of trying to make it all work, in service, at home, as a partner, parent and individual. So yes truly surprised how much I actually liked it. Latest binge favorite. Thank the developers there are enough episodes and seasons to keep entertained for a few weeks.

I didn't have faith in mini series' being completely binge-able but I watched the whole thing in 2 days. I'm a sucker for period CNN pieces. The costumes and locations, I've got an affinity for. Historical fiction tends to be more entertaining than straight up history as long as you realize that it's mostly embellished for entertainment purposes. I hadn't seen Samantha Morton in a long time and was great as Medici. Due to being so entertained I've moved on to other originals from this channel that have also been engaging enough to binge watch. I haven't like or watched tv in 5 years but Freevee is better than Netflix right now.

Like most limited series' on streaming channels the first season is most always the best. I haven't watched tv in 5 years but this kept me entertained. The cons are interesting the episode guest stars is a good extra. BUT the continuity is horrible!!!! It's petty and usually something I can overlook but the series is based on cons!! So one would think looking at details is a given, unless Amazon/Freevee figures you get what you pay for?? Or just given up on folks not paying attention. Giovanni Ribisi is wonderful I'm happy to see in recurring star role. I just get disappointed when stories get too far fetched trying to draw out seasons, but it seems to be the norm.

Love the idea. Using 2 intelligent handsome leads didn't hurt. My style of humor!!! ππΌππΌ Helena Bonham Carter is made for this role. She is the equivalent of a female Johnny Depp, who takes two off the beaten path character is quite well. Plus she's beautiful, the dark setting the imagery. The entire tone of the movie just feels like home to me. But not in a bad way. Dark can be bad and depressing. Dark can also be enticing exciting comfortable and warm. It seems like Brad Pitt and Edward Norton sense of humor surfaced in this movie either that or the script writer and Director are phenomenal.

I'm 51 and this is The best program I've seen in years. I don't have cable or watch regular tv but had surgery so got Netflix while recovering. This show made it worth it. Fell in love with every character. Casting spot on!! Great story line. Now I'm even interested in checking out the Dark Horse story.
