Silent Hill: The Short Message (2024)
Glad it's Free
Sony randomly announced and released this game at their state of play event. Silent Hill has been a genre defining horror IP since the 90s, this game unfortunately does not live up to that level of quality the series once had, that being said, there is value in this game, especially since it's completely free of charge. The story is very dark, revolving around heavy themes of suicide, self-harm/hatred, abuse, and bullying, to the point where the suicide hotline and a warning is posted on the screen multiple times. However is does have a somewhat satisfying ending, the fact that it is short and free really helps make this worth playing, if it were any longer or costed anything more than $5 I could not recommend it. If you have 3 hours and a PlayStation 5, this Short Message from Silent Hill may be worth your time, and get you warmed up for Silent Hill 2 Remake later this year (2024 if anyone in the future is reading).
Assassin's Creed Mirage (2023)
Really Good, but Not Classic
Assassin's Creed Mirage was a giant leap in the right direction after 3 massive open world RPGs. It took elements of those games and elements of the classic games before Assassin's Creed Origins. Assassin's Creed Mirage was about 20 hours long vs the 60 hours for Assassin's Creed Odyssey and 85 hours on Assassin's Valhalla, both of which were argued to be too long. The story was fairly average until the end when it got way better. The intro felt slightly rushed and the combat don't feel like a classic Assassin's Creed game not an RPG Assassin's Creed game plus the addition of the new teleportation mechanic. Fortunately, stealth is back and it is perfect. The developers really nailed that. So all in all, Assassin's Creed Mirage is a good game and worth your time, just understand this is not a classic Assassin's Creed game.
Fallout 76 (2018)
Has Been Fixed
When the game first released it was glitchy like no one's business but it's been fixed and it's GREAT! Not a bad Fallout game at all, although 4 and New Vegas are better. It worth a shot, glitches are almost non-existent anymore at least on PS4.
