Matir Moina (2002)
Dormant message through lives of 70s
Very beautifully captured the lives of the late 60s and early 70 of Bangladesh. From a cinematography stand point, it is one of the higher quality films that has been produced in the context of the Indian subcontinent.
The message is bit quite powerful and sarcastic that essentially focus on the core fundamentalism and Islamic exaggeration in the day to day social life.
Few flaws are visible in the film, specially some of the unprofessional acting are evident but it is nominal as it is obscured by the powerful story line.
Not sure if Tarek used Tarkovoski's sculpting in time concept, but some of the shots are quite long and do take us to the time where the story is happening.
I would give a 7.5 or 8 (kinda confused)for this movie. A must see film specially for the Bangladeshi film lovers.
Dances with Wolves (1990)
One of the most under rated movies
Not sure why this movie only fetched 7.8 It is certainly one of the most under rated movies and deserves more.(like at least 8.5)
This movie captures the world of another kind which we do not see very often in other movies.
The story line along with the cinematography is great and composes a true sense of the title.
Movies like this enriches the diversity and dept of film culture and more and more movies of this kind should be created.
hats up to the director and the production crew. This movie is a must see for all types of movie lover weather or not you like adventure or not. However, if you are a true nature lover or a true adventurous person, you are committing sin if you still haven't watched it yet.
Offret (1986)
Movie just cannot be better
It is the BEST movie ever. From a cinematography standpoint, from a directional standpoint and form a storyline standpoint, it is 10 out of 10.
Andrei Tarkovski is a super human. I am not biased of tarkovski, but I really got to admit this is the best movie ever created. If Godfather or shawshank gets 9.1 then this film simply deserves 9.9 without any doubt.
I strongly believe the real film analyst understands the beauty of this film.
I wish Tarkovski lived a few more years.
