The Prince & Me (2004)
A Royal Failure...
"The Prince And Me" is a chick flick, no doubt, and I'm perfectly fine with this. There is no problem there. The fact that this film is horribly put together, the jokes arent funny, and the overall "awww" factor is at a minimum is the problem. The cast does a good job, but cannot cover up the horrible script and even worse direction. I left the theatre as apathetic as could be. I didn't feel happy or sad... In fact, the only emotion I did sense was the anger over wasting 10.00! Want a good chick flick that invloves royalty? Go see the "Princess Diarys"... And if thats not your thing, dont see anything at all... Hey, "dont" begins with a D!!! And thats exactly what this film gets!
= D+
The Parlor (2001)
Simply Amazing
Only a few words come to mind after watching this film, and those are, in slang, OMG... It is simply fantastic. The cast was very well chosen, the direction was right on target, and the overall "pazzazz" of the film was high and mighty.
9.7/10 --- Superior
Two Weeks Notice (2002)
Just what I expected, and this is a good thing!
When you go to see a film like Two Weeks Notice, you shouldn't expect a brilliant academy award worthy story, nor a action packed thriller, or scary horror movie. You expected a, well, chick flick... I use that term as I lack a better one.
With that said, Two Weeks Notice delivers what is expected of it. It has it's one liners, Sandra and Hugh both give good preformances, and its an overall "awww, aint that cute" film.
I do appreciate the atmosphere of Two Weeks Notice, and also state that it is worth the 9.00 dollars to see it, if you know what your looking for... I mean, come on... This is not the next Bond film here!!!
Overall, well made! I'm glad to be able to give this little sucker a:
B+
Dave (1993)
A truly great film. Dave scores!
"Dave" is a comedy/drama that says "What if our president was an actual person." It delivers a great picture, with superb acting on all sides. Although you'll not find yourself laughing your head off, your sure to find a smile on your face. It's one of those films that you don't want to end, which proves how good it really is.
