Gone in the Night (2022)
Makes no sense and has false suspense behind the actual story
This movie has some real suspense in the beginning behind what actually happened to Kaths boyfriend. When I first saw this movie I believed it would be a film about her uncovering her boyfriends murderer or finding out about a secret cult but it just turns out to be about her boyfriend being used as a blood cow for a experiment that's believed to provide eternal life or youth from what it seems it's not really very well explained what Nick the character who worked for a biotech company is really doing. Plus the characters Kath and Max have no chemistry. Nor do any of the other characters. The motives behind each character isn't really clear and they're acting seems flat. I feel like this could have been a good story but there was too much unexplained and the end when Kath locks Max, Nick, his son and Greta away just doesn't seem like the reaction she should have had. There's no loose ends tied up at the end of this movie. Could have been a great movie but falls short.
