Romantic Killer (2022)
I am honestly surprised by how good this show is
The show I thought would be predictable and boring, but along the way there were so many plot twists that had me gasping. I would recommend this show to anybody that wants to get into romance anime but doesn't know where to start because it literally gives you a little crash course on all ship dynamics. I really wish they hadn't canceled the show because it left off open ended, meaning it ended on a cliff hanger. I binged the show within a day and ngl I don't regret it. It was hilarious subbed AND dubbed, I usually watch my anime subbed but I felt the need to watch it dubbed and I was shocked by how good the freaking English voice acting is. I would also recommend this show to any Toradora fans.
Yibeon Saengdo Jal Butakhae (2023)
AMAZINGGGGG
I honestly would've given this 10 stars but some of it isn't historically accurate, but other than that it is such a good k drama. It was a roller coaster of emotions for me. And the fact I couldn't predict what was going to happen was the best. Usually in shows I can predict everything but this show was different and I live that about it. The acting at times was a tad cringe, but I found it apart of the character but I could be wrong. I think they could've explained the age gap between Ban Ji Eum and Mun Seo Ha because it was kind of confusing for me at times. Like I knew he was older but... how much older? I felt like the show was rushed towards the end, especially in the last episode. But it was a very different Asian drama compared to the ones I typically watch. I would recommend this show to anybody who loves a dramatic romance with side plots. Overall, it was an amazing tv show and though I would not rewatch it (because it has too long of episodes for my taste) it was amazing.
XO, Kitty (2023)
Team Min Ho ALL THE WAYYY
The only reason I didn't give this show ten stars was because Kitty's crush on Yuri didn't make any sense. Kitty being bisexual obviously makes sense, but I honestly don't think Kitty having a crush on Yuri was a good decision. I love Yuri, don't get me wrong- It just didn't make sense for Kitty. The sub plot in this show was AMAZING. Every good show needs a good sub plot and I was pleasantly surprised by this one. At first I thought Alex was going to be Kitty's brother because that kind of made sense, BUT HIM BEING YURI'S HALF BROTHER WAS A TWIST I NEVER EXPECTED!! I also hated the fight between Kitty and Yuri. Yuri lied to Kitty almost the entire semester and then when Kitty doesn't tell Yuri about this one thing that wasn't her thing to tell Yuri gets mad! I really don't want to say this, but at that moment Yuri was being a total brat. Another thing was, DAE GOT MAD AT KITTY FOR HAVING FEELINGS?! Like gurl, nobody likes Dae after that. The confession at the end of season wasn't hitting WHATSOEVER FOR ME. I really hope Min Ho is end game because KITTY AND MIN HO HAVE SO MUCH CHEMISTRY!!!!! That confession at the end of the season on the plane ride really got me in the feels!! If you looked really closely before the credits rolled on the last episode of the season she broke into a little smile. Another reason I think Min Ho is going to be end game, is Min Ho was like the first person she saw on her self discovery journey, both at the airport and the welcome party. And he was also the last scene of the season so it makes sense. I definitely recommend this show!!!!
Zhi Wo Men Nuan Nuan De Xiao Shi Guang (2019)
Amazing show, I wish I hadn't binge watched it tbh
This show had me pulling all nighters, which is a really rare thing for me. It had me giggling like a preschooler half of the time! It was a perfect friends/enemies to lovers and mutual pining trope that hooked me from beginning to end. I only wish that they would've gotten a little bit deeper into Gu Weyi's personal battle a little bit more, because it was quite obvious he was struggling confessing to Momo and that made it hard for him to function around her in general. I was also quite frustrated with the ending, literally it was just Situ Mo and Gu Weyi as parents. I really wish we would've gotten another season that would be their married life and then at the end of that season we got the little flash to their parenthood. Obviously this would interfere with the book/story that inspired the series so I get why they didn't do that. Overall, I regret binge watching it because now I want to go back to watching it for the first time. It's kind of like when I read a really good book and I wish I could get back into the mindset of me starting the book so I can read it over and over again. If you liked this I would recommend See You In My 19th Life (TV-14 and on Netflix) and A Love So Beautiful (2020 version, TV-PG and on Netflix). This is just one of those shows that I love and will definitely be rewatching in years to come. Definitely recommend watching it and the other shows I recommended.
