I Love You, You Hate Me (2022)
Love Conquers Hate
It's not often that a film or television series has brought me to tears. For me, not often means never. One of the final lines in this series asks, "who was your Barney?" Everyone had a Barney though their childhood. A stuffed toy? A role model? A television character? A person or thing that brought comfort. This series highlights how Barney was never meant for everyone, but everyone can embrace the characteristics and lessons brought on by Barney. The series outlines how we as humans need to be more conscious with our behavior towards one another. This series truly enlightened me on better ways to interact with people, and to be more understanding of personal circumstances. I recommend everyone give this series a try...I guarantee that Barney has a thing or two to teach.
Sunshine Factory (1979)
Fun, Classic Christian Television Series!
The world needs more shows like Sunshine Factory. While low budget, you can tell that they put their available funds to use! Fun, interactive sets combine with colorful, goofy puppets make this show exciting, and educational!
Considering that this series was filmed in the late 70s and early 80s they were incredibly diverse in their cast, which I would call "ahead of their time".
The side antics of the puppets and costumed characters brings a fun element to each episode.
Something that is missing in children's programing today is the delivery of life lessons and educational concepts. This series capitalized on both of those, delivering both in a pleasable manner.
If you're in need of some clean, family feel-good television, I'd recommend giving Sunshine Factory a watch!
