Undercover Brother 2 (2019)
fail
Horrible watching Michael Jai White stooping this low, agree with the other reviewer he should've done a 'Black dynamite II' instead of this tripe. Extremely painful watching Vince Swann doing a 99 cent store version of Marlon Wayans...Hell I stopped this film to go unstop my clogged toilet I've been putting off for 6 weeks...
Sextuplets (2019)
relax your expectations and enjoy the ride
First of all let me say I haven't 'really' been a Marlon Wayons fan; I've always considered his movies stereotypical and immature. So why the high rating? Well this movie is no exception BUT Marlon has grown up a bit; at almost 50 he's still zany but a 'mature zany' if that makes since. Ok on to the movie. I didn't want to watch this movie, unlike other reviewers here expecting another 'white chicks' or the little kid movie, this one was a pleasant surprise. Marlon plays a successful 'Buppie' married to a lawyer who is pregnant with their first child. That's as far as I'll go with the story line. I think Marlon's acting is on par, the timing is right, AND he appears to take this role(s) seriously-and it shows. The jokes are funny (I caught myself laughing numerous times, something I normally don't do with comedy films). So anyway; in closing I say hey give it a shot, don't expect too much and enjoy the ride. Again, I truly enjoyed this movie and I think Marlon does a tremendous job playing 6 roles. 9/10
Collider (2018)
when your firestick leads you here
When all the good movies are buffered out, at least this movie beats hunting down B' movies on youtube. If you like cute Asians (ok mixed) what do you have to lose?
Showdown in Manila (2016)
basic redbox type flick
If you go in with lowx epectations you won't be as disappointed. Tia Carrere the once knock down gorgeous chick from Waynes world, is now pushing 52 and gets about a 1/5th a 'schwinn' in this flick. The lead is a horrible Arnold imitator. Not a good flick by any stretch of the imagination; I only tuned in for the gorgeous chick in the above trailer hoping they're be other beautiful Filipinas...
Independents' Day (2016)
c'mon people lighten up and lower your expectations a bit (mild spoiler)
this film (albeit a knock off of ID4) isn't as bad as some sci fi flicks I've seen costing quadruple the amount this was made on. Speaking of which I'd say the special effects are relatively great and on par on it's $1/2 million budget. Is it a bit campy at times? sure but it's not such a bad flick to watch if you want to kill a lazy afternoon. Sure there are military errors (99% generally are by design) and the spaceships aren't state of the art (nice to know we art the only ones in the universe using plastic hoses) but it is what it is. It's refreshing to see new faces and decent script writing. All in all I'd say rent this one but again throw "Independence day II" expectations out the window; there's no match of course but at least they gave it a great try IMO!
