Earthquake (1974)

Shake it up woohoo

Saw this in the theatre when it was released. A friend of mine was always calling into a radio station for free movie tickets, besides this one we saw most of the calamity movies.

The hyped Sensurround effect was just from subwoofers placed around the theatre which back in 74 was decent and was the best part of the movie.

They liked to throw a bunch of aging and television actors into these type movies almost like it's a Mad, Mad, Mad World everything including the kitchen sink.

The earthquake FX was OK considering it was mid 70's definitely carnage was the best part with the subs rumbling and tickling your behind in the seats.

Fun to go to but I don't think it would be good at home unless you have a nice 5.1 setup.

Great Comedy Wrongly Canceled

I really thought this show was awesome, just hilarious with the writing and quality acting and wished that others had taking the time to watch.... just stimulating.... Even here on IMDB has a rating of almost 8 and I give it a 9, was totally bummed that season 3 wasn't continued especially ending on a cliffhanger.... who does that, kind of low blow to the crew and actors let alone us fans disgraceful shutting it down like that.

Well anyways I have DVD's of the both seasons (should've been on Blu-Ray too) to watch and chuckle and wonder if the scripts for season 3 were completed because I would read them on paperback form.
