Astronomy Club (2019)
The girls that get it, get it
This show is absolutely brilliant. I love how it incorporates 'tribal knowledge' and -ism's specific to the black American community and turns it into culturally relevant comedic content. For example, the idea that 'black don't crack' or the uproarious Robin Hood skit where they touch on the come-up and rich blacks not giving back to their hood. I realize some of these issues sound heavy, but the show manages to poke fun and make light. The actors are hilarious and have great timing. I have to pause each episode from laughing so hard. This show is something ALL people can enjoy. Please tune in, you will not regret it. They have done something very special here and it deserves attention.
King of Boys (2018)
Solid
I enjoyed this movie. The costume design was absolutely stunning. The lead actresses all gave memorable performances. It was refreshing to see black female bosses. There are so many classic thematic elements at play in this movie. Family, succession, greed, guilt, and tragedy. The extras were a bit, well, extra - but overall very entertaining. The story follows main character Eniola Salami who grew up in the streets. She starts dating a street dude, ends up in the underworld and soon ends up running the underworld but not without sustaining major blows from her shady counterparts. It gets campy in some parts admittedly, but it is a great story.

Great animated series
My daughter and I have been watching this show on Netflix. It's beautifully animated and the different scenarios the cats get into are funny. All of the characters are cute and have their own personalities. They also have funny names like Milady and Meatball. I highly recommend this series for young kids like toddlers. My two year old absolutely loves this series and honestly I like it too.
