Varshangalkku Shesham (2024)
A labor of love for Vineeth Sreenivasan -
A feel good family entertainer. Dhyan excelled in his role. Pranav emoted very well in the emotional scenes, when he is hurt and disappointed, and equally when he is happy for his friend. They both have excellent screen presence. Nivin Pauly was a delight and he literally saved the second half from going downhill.
Kalyaani and Asif Ali had nothing much to do. Was disappointed about that.
Basil, Neeraj Madhav & Aju did their bits neatly.
The movie had a charm that carried the audience with it, despite some scenes that were poorly written or quite unnecessary.
Songs were melodious and reminded us of a bygone era.
Vineeth's trick of including popular actors even for just a 1 min scene helped audiences to feel fresh when each of them appeared.
Vineeth as the driver was a real let down some one else could have essayed the role better.

As the title suggests, some great acting with zero content ,too long, poor writing
A movie not all suitable for family audiences, especially not for children below 16 years old.
The movie was too long and at times some scenes were a real pain to watch.
The music was too good. Fahad Fazil as Ranga stole the show with his mercurial acting abilities. But really bored of seeing him repeat this kind of goofy characters, again & again.
The three youngsters and Fahad Fazil's side kick did their best, given the poor character sketch that they had been given. The mother character was a real life saver not only for her son but also at times when the movie was going downhill.
Ashish Vidyarthi was simply wasted, his character could have brought some value to the movie.
Malayalam movies are now full of puking scenes. Is it a sign of the times or society in Kerala? No, and its absolutely disgusting if not needless.
The editing and character sketches were so weak The music was really catchy though. Flashes of brilliance was there in the direction aspect.

A movie that spoke about socially relevant movie- A neat family entertainer Excellent cast , let down by poor writing
The movie was a long-awaited release from UMF production. A neat, family entertainer that dwells on the Brahmapuram Waste Plant fiasco that sent toxic fumes from burning plastic waste into the kochi air. The main protagonist is a special needs individual played by Unni Mukundan.
It is one of the best stories to come to the theatre but could have done better with a little more mirth and joy from Mahima Nambiar who was not utilized as per her potential.
Her character could have been better written. It is high time female characters are better represented in malayalam movies.
The first half establishes the character of the central character. Its rare to find stories that attempt to sensitize people to the issues faced by these people and their families.
Miracles do happen, this is the underlying theme of the movie.
Casting was excellent. Songs and music was apt for the movie.
It was a wonderful surprise to see Asokan & Jomol playing important roles. Jomol's character could have been more layered.

Pure joy ! What a treat !
The movie that ticked all the boxes! A feel good movie with beautiful songs that blend so beautifully with the storyline!
The best thing is feminism or the real independent woman is presented without any unnecessary drama or bad mouthing of men.
The casting was apt and they all did a neat job.
The scenery, the freshness of the story, the dialogues all were so pleasant and thought provoking.
Such movies are a blessing to the entertainment domain.
There is more to life than the mundane routine for existence.
Life and the world are to small to comprehend! But with a big heart and a great friends the journey is worth of the destination !
Hats off to the team of this gem of a movie!

Waiting for the movie to release in theaters in the Gulf
In kerala , the movie is screened in only two cities, the rest of the population is going to miss this cinematic experience.
In the Gulf, too there is delay. Till now the movie hasn't reached theaters here. Why ?
Meghna Gulzar is a movie curator's delight. She is creating magic again with this biopic on one of India's greatest war heroes.
Vicky Kaushal as expected fleshed out the character of Lt. General Sam Manekshaw to perfection. No words to express the perfect portrayal of one of India's most beloved army leaders.
Will be watching this movie again & again.
It's not everyday that you get to watch a movie that inspires humans to lead, to serve and to be kind when you have the power to do anything.
This is what people of all ages must watch!
Another feather in the cap of Ronnie Screwala and team!
Please ensure that cinematic experience will not be denied by ill-advised distributors.
Pippa (2023)
A great watch.
Full credit to the director and his technical team for a well made movie. The story is quite engrossing and the cast have done a great job of enacting their well etched roles with great sensitivity.
The battle scenes, the cruel murder of defenseless people,
the helplessness of the people trapped by the war.
The lives of three siblings who play pivotal characters , not knowing the fate of the other, fighting a war for freedom.
Each frame of the movie echoes the travails of the characters as they live and breathe the war that has been thrust on India.
Such movies are reminders to humanity of tough decisions, the heroes who guard their citizens and how the love for infinite power is creating monsters, who are a curse to humanity.
Definitely a must watch. 💯
Vellaripattanam (2023)
A political satire, worth a watch
The movie gets off to a slow start but picks pace a little after the first 30 minutes. Manju warrier is endearing as the wily, self made local politician, adept at turning every situation to her advantage. Soubin's role as her younger brother and political foe makes for some interesting sibling rivalry. They are egged on by the party leader who has a personal vendetta, against them. Humour is subtle but packs sm punches at certain junctures.
The adjustments made by local politicians to win votes by fooling the villagers is quite well depicted. Overall the movie is a light entertainer and is worth a watch.
Ponniyin Selvan: Part Two (2023)
A Classic ...not to be missed
Really liked the way, the titular character is not a superhuman but a brave, noble warrior king who is often saved by his trustworthy comrades and admirers, from the jaws of death! It's high time , men are shown as they r gullible, sensitive, emotional and prone illness, death or injury.
The characters played by Jayam Ravi and Vikram r conveyed through realistic and believable situations and scenes.
Aishwarya had the best screen space and she did complete justice to her roles. Her majestic personality and acting calibre shone brighter than the diamonds she wore while essaying the character of Nandini.
Trisha cake walked through the movie with a beautiful written character, Kundavai, a princess who is keen to safeguard her family and the kingdom from the evil designs of their enemies. The three siblings played by Vikram, Trisha and Jayam Ravi share an awesome screen presence when they appear together in an important scene. Karthi , aishwarya lekshmi, all have given their best to their roles and hv come out with flying colors.
