CBS had a choice between Mission Impossible and this .They could only renew 1 for a 2nd season . A shame this was a loser . It was a quality show Happened on it by accident on Tubi website. The set was amazing It was on the sprawling MGM MGM backlot . It was a travesty when that was torn down . It would have made a great tourist attraction. I recognized so many MGM movies that were shot on the exteriors of that set . The cast was great .Only Franks sadly had any sort of career after this . I did notice a number of snippets of music reminiscent of Mission Impossible in it. John Dehner also popped up as a heavy . A shame this never made it beyond 1 season.

Finally watched the entire movie onTubi. Watched it in sections and with commercials. This was the only way I could watch the whole thing. Prior to that I watched Dominion the prequel. It was a competent movie .I remember 2 being a huge disappointment when it first came out. What the heck is James Earl Jones being dressed up as a grasshopper spitting out a rubber ball doing here? There was a germ of a good idea but it went south after that. Burton obviously did it for the paycheck .It had a few good parts but the exorcism at the end was so over the top it was laughable. Check out the house at the end and the same house in Exorcist 3 Rank exorcist movies in this order. Original film a masterpiece. #2 A huge disappointment. #3 Competent movie which should be viewed as the true sequel. The scenes with Scott talking to Jason Miller /Brad Dourf were spellbinding and best thing about the movie. Dominion was competent A little plodding until it found itself Gave it a 7.

Did anyone notice during entire time Cheyenne taking Creanna back to jail Crenna has his gun in his holster ? In the entire time of every western involving a situation like this the bad guy always has his gun taken from him. Unbelievable Crenna never tried to get away .Thoughts ?

Very enjoyable .It starts slow and builds up with each episode. Everything here is first rate. The only issue I have is with a character who will not be named starts pontificating to someone else. The speech goes on and on and adds nothing to the movie except running time. Snip that and all is well. Watch it now or watch it on Halloween.

Would someone tell.me what the hell the freak show title sequence has to do with the film. Watching severely obese women gyrate does nothing other than turn many off. We were one more obese woman away from turning it off. Please tell me what the hell it has to do with the film .Please Please Please. Film was ok. Not great but fair. It was like a French movie in that it had no ending .

Just started watching .It is very well done. Notice that in all David Kelley shows women are good and virtuous and men are evil and scum. Same with Big Sky.Men are the bad guy and women are the ones who triumph. Naturally he snuck in a white privilege remark. Behind the scenes almost all women Mr Kelly needs to stop the male bashing. Hopefully he knows his sex. Try balancing things out Mr Kelly. Your anti male shows is getting a bit tiresome

Enjoyable with 1 big question. This takes place in London when it is locked down With few exceptions no one wore a mask. Hollywood is lecturing all of us on Co Vid but take a very cavalier attitude about those who should wear masks. Here you can count those who wear masks on one hand Very confusing and contradictory. A real head scratcher. One scene in a long tunnel under Harrods packed with people with no masks. Are they kidding ? Get your act together guys

Enjoyed first season. Sad to say this has also gone pc with cop bashingninnSeason 2.Some shows are over the top and I stopped watching. Station 19 is an example. Saw 2 instances of cop bashing here. Not over the top but if it continues and intensifies I will drop it. Thank God for retro TV

Have watched it from the beginning. It passed the time. Unfortunately they decided to jump the shark with their latest episode.Wear masks outside until you meet someone you know so you take them off.Plot went off the rails showing white cops against a screaming unmasked African American woman.Naturally 2 screaming women unmasked. Than black fireman arrested for charging a cop . PC really took over here and cannot go back. See ya Station 19

Little known fact. On 3/3/68 a musical version of the novel opened on Broadway. It closed on opening night. Many problems backstage. Cast album that was to be recorded did not happen. I got a CD of the songs. Have yet to listen to it.Just watched this and Rebel. Have to listen to the CD of the musical version of it . Can get a copy of this via AMAZON. Never read this or Rebel . Both movies were great with the melancholy over what Dean could have played without the crash cutting short his life.

Chinese Water Torture Would Have Been Better

Watched it at home on Netflix. Had we seen it in the movies we would have left after an hour or so. It is a big bloated mess. When I see DeNiro I think of a loud mouth slob ranting about how Trump is the new Ghengis Kahn .Take out all the F bombs and shootings the film is about 10 minutes long .Script is totally made up and most of the actors looked uncomfortable . Expected more from Scorcese but what can you expect when his star is the over the hill DeNiro. .Skip the movie and get some pizza. At least that is more Italian

Watched it last year and really enjoyed it .Maybe I just was not that aware of it. From the first episode now onward Lorre let his politics find its way into the series.I know he is liberal. Big surprise. Just once I want to watch something without being lectured to
Lorre is unable to do that. I would give both seasons a 10 but I have to reduce it for season 2 as his political asides are getting to be annoying . We have already stop watching several new telecast series as we could not deal with the sermonizing . Since you can watch the entire series in 1 sitting it is bearable.Instead of a 10 it gets an 8

Looking Forward For Season 4

Finished binge watching Season 3. Disagreed re consensus on Season 2. Season 3 was quite good. Plot sort of rips off storyline of Chinatown. After using that as a starting point it goes in a different direction. The ending of it could be used as an end of the series or a continuation meaning it was ambiguous. Time will tell if it is renewed.Hope it will be. Paul Williams returns as does the rest of the the peripheral cast from season 2.

My wife and I saw it today .We saw the original play on Broadway. .Her drug use has been toned from the play. The movie was very good and her performance was spot on. No idea if her last stage appearance in London was as pictured here. .The framing devices with Mayer were good. You see how her life was ruined by drugs and how MGM ruined her life. Some things listed as goofs were petty

Binge watched both seasons this weekend. Like both seasons but the fixation the guy had with limbs in season 2 is a bit off putting especially the next to last episode in 2nd season . The sexual bit could have been done in a different way. We both found the finales of both seasons to be fine and no idea why they were both panned by users here. To each his own . Looking forward to Season 3

The premise was good. .The execution is the problem. It is in 2 seasons but the same characters are in both. The female lead basically performs like superwoman without the cape even though she just escaped being held in captivity for 6 years. The series is padded and did not need 20 episodes. She performs tasks without having anything to back them up. Some of her exploits are out of a comic book. There was a basis 4 a good 10 episode series with better editing and more common sense. As is it is a tough road to hoe. Cannot recommend it

Apparently shot here as it would be prohibitive to shoot in Hawaii. Fluff is all it is pure and simple

Hard to believe no Oscar nods 4 the sets and costumes and cinematography. .Remember seeing this in NYC on wide screen . Came at the end of the epic era sad to say. Sadder still was the destruction of the forum set after the cinematography was was finished . Could have been a great tourist attraction instead of the site becoming a housing development.Sadly it destroyed the short film empire of Samuel Bronston.
