Kizilcik Serbeti (2022)
Another cheating male lead
Overall, I like this show and certain characters are a joy to watch. Hats off especially to the actors who play Nursema and Omer (outstanding acting). However, the male lead Fatih has been a major problem from the start. Because of him, I don't enjoy the show as much as I want to. I also don't like the actor playing him -- he lacks charisma and has no chemistry with the female lead who plays Doga.
Fatih is a very unlikeable character who has no respect or empathy for his pregnant wife Doja. These two don't even seem to like each other so I am not sure why they are together. Fatih is mentally (and borderline physically) abusive. He keeps stressing Doga out and always puts his family over her. Now he's cheating (at the FIRST opportunity).
I don't care how much Fatih begs or what he does after this, he's irredeemable and cannot be trusted. I hope the writers give Doja back her self-respect by divorcing her from this poor excuse for a man. There should be no reconciliation -- but I won't be surprised if the writers reunite them (Turkish writers are notorious for doing this).

Top Notch Series
So far, this is a beautifully written and directed series with an engrossing storyline. The way everything flows is so exquisite. The director, especially, is very talented and the music is impeccable. Most of the characters are fleshed out really well.
Individually, the actors are all terrific - Baris Falay, in particular. Although the emotional connection is somewhat lacking between the lead couple, it doesn't harm the overall quality of the series. All in all, the story is compelling and the directing is sublime. I never feel like skipping scenes because the show is so captivating. I just hope it does not get cancelled prematurely or stretched out unnecessarily. This is a brilliant show, so please keep doing it justice.

Madness
The writing is getting ridiculous. I don't care if this is a true story or not - just don't try to tell me that Ferit loves Seyran. He's overly controlling, constantly humiliates her in public and a big cheater (he even tried to sleep with Defne). No matter what, he never should have brought his mistress Pelin to the house. Now the writer is bending over backwards making Ferit a victim by letting everybody defend this madness and believing his lies. Just a couple episodes ago he told Pelin that she belonged to him, now he's saying he's only protecting her. And now a crime boss has been brought in to make Ferit look like the better man. Um, no, he's still an awful person. If he wasn't sniffing around Pelin in the first place, none of this would be happening, but nobody is paying attention to this inconvenient fact.
As for the old grandfather, he just wants to control everybody but he's lost control of the entire house - he has no idea who is doing what. All he does is make demands about how the house/family should be, but so much cheating and sleeping around is happening under his roof and he has no clue.
The main problem though is Ferit, a spoiled brat who cheats or gets violent whenever things don't go his way. He's a sickening unsympathetic character - I don't believe his ugly tears. It's sad that Seyran chose to stay with him. I can handle a depressing story. What I cannot handle is the writers telling me that an extremely abusive character loves someone, and they are now turning that same character into a victim. Shameful writing.
