Phantasm: Ravager (2016)
So sad
Second movie in this will always be my favorite.
However, the first on was just fantastic. Even the third one was watchable. This movie is just garbage playing off a notion there might be another dollar made off of something great. So terrible for this to be what someone thought, a good idea.
Overlord (2018)
WWII And Dr Frankenstein
I know a lot of fools and reviewers call this a a zombie flick, it is, however, so much more than that. There is actually a storyline here and will keep most horror and history buffs with it till the end. Well acted, seemed to have a good cast and a great director. The filming locations weren't too bad either. While obliviously not completely historically accurate, there is no telling what in this movie could have.
Bonehill Road (2017)
Terrible!
Pretty sure everyone involved with this film got on here and gave this movie 10-8 stars? That has to be the only reason it is rated so high.
The story itself is pretty predictable. That isn't even a bad thing. Most movies are.
It's the acting and the fact that it seems as though this is the first movie all of these people seem to have been in, and with zero acting experience. There is no chemistry with anyone in the movie, and the execution of it was just as bad as the acting.
I think the only reason I gave this 2 stars was for the use of non CGI effects.
I suggest you run away and don't pay attention to the high rating.
Wolf Cop is an Oscar winner compared to this atrocity.
Cowspiracy: The Sustainability Secret (2014)
Cowspiracy
While i think people have the right to choose what to put into their body or what not to put into their bodies, these documentaries are always the same. Don't eat animals. You are bad if you do. I will agree that mass raised animals that live on grains are not near as tasty as a grass fed free range cow. I do think that vaccinations are a very helpful part of large herds in a small fence tightly packed or in a field roaming about. More so for the first. Mainly, because there was a time when you had to cook and, for safety reasons due to parasites and worms, and over cook beef, pork, and chicken. There is nothing better than a nice rare stake cooked and seasoned just right. Chicken i think should always be cooked all the way through. But pork, try a medium rare instead of over well done and see what you have been missing. The only cases of food in the USA that has caused anyone problems for the bast 30 years or so is wild game, which has to be cooked all the way due to no vaccinations and what they are exposed to. Wild caught fish always taste better than farm raised fish that is fed mostly grain and never build up a fat layer they can get in the wild. Especially the colder water fish. Same problems. Wild fish get zero antibiotics, and usually have a high level of heavy metals in them depending on what the fish eats and where it fits in the food chain. This is very true with bottom feeders and cleaners. Shrimp, mollusks, and other shell fish. It goes the same with produce. It is amazing what can be sprayed on fruits and vegetables and still be able to be called "organic". So many farmer market sellers are buying their food from the same suppliers as the chain stores. Whole Foods have recently got into trouble over weight, quality of produce and meats. It's up to us as consumers to research what we eat and choose to put into our bodies. At some point you have to or need to or want to trust labeling and the word of who is selling what you are eating. Unfortunately, the only way to know for sure is to grow and raise your own food. Which is very hard to impossible for the average working person. And a lot of time it is a space issue.I personality am a huge fan of aquaponics. I know what i'm growing, where it came from, and usually how safe it is. Fish and plants are quite the team when it comes to symbiotic relationships. I just don't like one sided shows. I don't like one sided news. It does not take much time to research things and find a happy medium that works for you. And if you like it, feel like you are getting the most out of it, and are happy, what else matters? Make your own decisions.
