Chapelwaite (2021)
Frustrating last episode
I enjoyed this all the way through even though it gave me nightmares but why wait until it's dark before going to fight a load of vampires??
It was so predictable that all the men (who volunteered from the village) that fought the vampires became collateral damage and only the main characters survived the fight! I mean! It was laughable!
Adrien Brody was enjoyable to watch and it was atmospheric and promising but not the best last episode. I stopped watching after the fight at Jerusalem's lot and even had to fast forward the fighting because it was so predictable!!

Locked In (2023)
Why???
Why do American film makers (yes I can tell!) always assume us Brits live in a massive Manor House and go fox hunting in our spare time?? What I found really irritating is the Yamaha piano being played in one scene because we all know no self respecting aristocrat would have a modern Japanese made piano more likely a Steinway that's been handed down the generations.
I survived only eight minutes of this awful film before I'd had enough and had to pause this monstrosity of a movie/film and opened up this amazing app to see if others felt the same way!
Obviously the majority of reviewers are Americans so there is no mention of the blindingly obvious English fake tropes they love so much and think they know as they don't notice these things!
Urgggggghhhhhh! Stop it!!! Netflix!!
The Good Ship Murder (2023)
DULL DULL DULL!
The acting is as wooden as a forest and the script is so dull and predictable.
Why would the first mate of a cruise ship who has been put in charge (because apparently (so she says) the actual Captain doesn't like to do any work and prefers to "delegate") have so much time on her hands to run around trying to solve a murder that didn't even happen on the cruise ship?
We never get to hear Shane Ward sing even though that's his only job on the ship!
Apparently he used to be a detective (serious crimes) but gave it up to become a lounge singer!! I mean! Seriously!! It's utterly laughable and inconceivable!!
Do yourselves a favour and avoid at all costs!!
The Out-Laws (2023)
JUST NOT FUNNY!!
I started watching this movie based on all the good reviews but sorry I had to stop watching it about 10 minutes in because it's just not funny! It's very strange!
Maybe it's because I'm a Brit and American humour is strange to me!
It's like watching "meet the parents" but a cringe version rather than funny.
I don't want to hurt my American friend's feelings but you people should give up writing comedy.
Watch a decent comedy like "Faulty Towers" or "Dads Army" and then you'll understand what real laugh out loud comedy is!
I feel so sorry that film/programme makers in the US are obviously ripping you all off with all their rubbish!
Do not watch this !
Find something funny if you want a comedy.
First Dates (2013)
The best version
This is by far the best version of first dates and I have seen many others!
It's lovely to watch couples meeting each other for the first time and seeing how they interact with each other and what the outcome will be!
Fred is the best maitre d and Merlin is an amazing barman mixing any drink their hearts desire.
I also enjoyed the teenage version of the show as it's really sweet and lovely even though it's more cringey.
I enjoy it when the couples end up together which doesn't happen very often in the earlier series but more so in the later ones.
Highly recommended viewing if you are a fan of romance and reality shows.
First Dates Ireland (2016)
Lovely show ruined by bad audio
I love first dates and have watched every single UK series there is!
I've also enjoyed first dates Australia and first dates Canada so I really had high expectations for this version.
Unfortunately the poor audio really lets this down. As if it's not difficult enough to understand the richness of the Irish accents at times, some over enthusiastic audio engineer thought it needed really loud jaunty background music.
I really struggled to hear the dates talking to each other!
Having said that I enjoyed how different it is for singletons to meet in Ireland compared to the UK from which I'm from.
Late Night Lycett (2023)
Pure filth but not entertaining
I was really excited about this show as I've always enjoyed Joe Lycett's comedy but straight away I knew it wasn't going work.
As soon as the opening credits were over it was pure filth. The language was disgusting. Just because it's live and it's late night doesn't mean you have a license to swear!
I found it irritating and tedious just like the gags.
I could only stomach watching up until Joanna Lumley came on with Alan Carr thinking that things might improve but all Joe talked about was himself and the "huns" even describing Liz Truss as a "Hun" (what??)
I felt like I'd fallen into a different parallel universe.
You (2018)
Laughable and unrealistic scenes of London!
I am a born and bred Londoner and I can tell you American viewers who don't know but London does NOT have a university like the one in S4 of You! I was so incensed with anger whilst watching Joe walking from his place of work in the university to his London flat (with a roaring fire that an unseen Victorian servant must have made for him in the Victorian fireplace!!!) via trendy East London hipster areas all the way to west Or central London on foot!!!!
Let me put you all straight:
apart from the fact that London flats are heated by gas central heating and would be way out of his budget to rent, the university looked like Oxford or Cambridge which certainly is NOT within walking distance of London. It would have taken him weeks to get home on foot unless he thumbed a lift on the motorway!! Oh and it would've rained most days!!
Utterly ridiculous!!!
It spoiled the whole season!! 😡
