A fun look into flawed people within a campaign
18 March 2024
Political dramas can be very hit and miss. The West Wing and Scandal are the only two I have ever really enjoyed.

Seeing that this was starring and produced by Melissa Benoist I decided to give this series a shot.

The show is well acted and produced, with some interesting plot twists and a look into the flaws of candidates, bringing their more bright-eyed supporters back down to earth.

There are a few very obviously parallels to certain real life politicians, though thankfully there are no signs yet of a character like T**mp.

So far I have enjoyed the writing, but having just watched episode 2, there still seems to be something missing to really give it the kick it needs. Hopefully this will change in future episodes.

The Reality Show We Needed About Body Positivity
10 March 2023
This show is about so much more than just selecting backup dancers for Lizzo.

The focus here is on building up dancers confidence in their own bodies to overcome fat shaming, trans phobia, and racism.

If you only watch one episode of this show - Episode 4 is incredibly empowering.

I was initially surprised when I saw how low the average rating for this show was, but then looking at the stats of those ratings is horrible.

The majority of 1-star ratings are from girls under 18, and just shows how far we have to go as a society to encourage body positivity in those that are most vulnerable.

I really wish that shows like this had been around when I was a teenager.
