I wasn't expecting much going into this movie, I never played the game and I don't know anything about it but what I did expect was that it would be a horror movie.
I think the movie misses the horror aspect and it has a decent story but it's just not interesting enough and the plot twist are not clear enough. At first I did not notice that William Afton was the same person as the guy that gave Mike the Job, also I could not care less for vanessa being William's daughter. It also does not make sense why Mike has dreams about the children that are stuck in the animatronics. I do want to give credit to the animation and vfx for the animatronics. Josh Hucherson also did a pretty good acting job.
Therefore I give this movie a 6.
