This film was amazing from start to finish. There's a lot to appreciate. The CG on the animated characters, the acting, action scenes, the small references to the games. There's some great scenes. The fight between Sonic and Knuckles in the temple was so cool. The final battle with Super Sonic was outstanding. The snowboarding scene reminded me of Ice Cap zone from Sonic 3. Problems are present though. Sonic mostly hogs up screen time from Tails and Knuckles. The wedding subplot was unnecessary to me. The plot was rather predictable as it is a mix of the games Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 and Knuckles. The pacing was rather slow mostly because of the wedding subplot. Overall, a great movie and worth a watch even if your not a Sonic fan.

Good but could've been better

No one thought of an actually good video game movie to happen. But this succeeds in that. The wait after the the redesign was 100% worth it and it's a really fun 99 minute ride. The CGI looks great on Sonic but not perfect. The acting is good and Jim Carrey makes the perfect Doctor Robotnik. There's some really fun and engaging scenes that I come back to the film for. The car chase, the chase scene where Sonic and Robotnik run around San Francisco, France, The Great Wall of China and a Desert. The final battle is amazing and reminds of how original Sonic bosses are beaten. There are some flaws like how it can honestly get boring for me at times. The scenes where Sonic and Tom were on their road trip didn't really engage me in it. There is a lot of product placement especially with the Olive Garden jokes. A solid video game film.
