Yo Gabba Gabba! (2006)
What happened to the good kid's shows?
I found that Yo Gabba Gabba, like many other kid shows currently on TV wasn't nearly as good or as educational as the classics like Sesame Street, Blues Clues, Scooby Doo, etc. Sesame Street and Blues Clues never sounded that way. And unlike other shows Yo Gabba Gabba doesn't make any sense what-so-ever. They think that bright colors, weird costumes, and blinking lights are what make a good, educational children's show. Blues Clues made sense, every episode Steve solves one of Blue's riddles. This show makes absolutely no sense. But the main reason i didn't like this show was because i felt it talked down to kids like they are dumb. Being an educational kid's show doesn't mean you need to talk down to them
Cabin Fever (2002)
Unnecessarily Gory
The following comments are what you will find yourself saying out loud throughout the whole movie, "Yeah right", "What the hell?", "Oh come on." and "Yeah like that could ever happen." Im not lying. It was that lousy. A group of college students go camping in a cabin to celebrate the end of final exams. Then they meet some sick hobo who infects them all with a flesh eating virus. Don't get confused, it may sound like a good movie but it isn't. The director tried to hard to make it scary but just adding a lot of blood and a few gory scenes. They tried to hard. Simple as that. Alfred Hitchcock could scare the crap out of you without showing you hardly anything!
Treasure Island (1999)
This movie actually made me mad! (CONTAINS SPOILER!)
Ill tell you why. I was read the story when i was a little boy. And then my grandfather got me the 1934 adaption of it and i loved it. We would always watch it together. Even after he died i continued to watch it. When i saw the commercial for this one on TBS i thought, "Ok i know it wont be as good as the first adaption or the book but ill watch it anyway." So I'm watching the movie and so far its alright a few things i didn't like but then it took a huge turn for the worse. Anyway skip to the end and all the wrong people are dead!!!!!!!!!! And it ends with a corny, childish, watered down, happy ending of Silver, Ben, and Jim sailing off alone into the sunset! I couldn't stand it. It made the Doctor, Captain Smullet, and the Squire (couldnt remember how to spell their names) out to be the bad guys only after the treasure in the end! Completely unlike the book and the original movie where the doctor was a close friend of Jim's and his mother. I cant believe they took a childhood story and a movie that i used to watch with my grandfather, hacked it up, and served it to me as an obviously low-budget piece of garbage
