Madden NFL 2008 (2007 Video Game)

Doesn't get much better than this.

You would think that with the advancing technology, there would be more features and additions to Madden games. Well, EA found out that people will buy new Madden games just to play online and for new rosters, so they release new games each year (as they did before DLC was commonplace) but they would slowly take out features and add in microtransactions and see if people will notice. People certainly noticed, but not enough did. So all that is left is this relic of a game, and despite the fact that Madden 23 is 50x the size of this (at least on the PS2, where I play it), this game has an immense amount of features. You can relocate teams, spawn games (put a game on the memory card, play it at your own time, and when you play the game you can go to the save file and put the result of the game into that save file, which was revolutionary for its time) and there are a thousand modes that you can play. This was also the last game released on Gamecube. And I'm pretty sure the PC version still has fan-made online servers still up, which probably have custom rosters. It's sad to see Madden games whittled down to cash grab, glitchy and unfun games, but we still have Madden 08. Pro gamer tip: get Brian Moorman. A really fast punter is practically a cheat code. Adam Podlesh and Daniel Sepulveda would work as well.

Super Bowl LI (2017 TV Special)

We are up by 25 with no way the Patriots can come back, so let's pretend like this is Madden NFL 17

Falcons have never won a Super Bowl up to this point, so when they got to a 28-3 lead against the Patriots, it gave them quite a bit of hope. Too much in fact, because then they just sorta let the game slip away and after some Brady magic, its 28-28, going into over time. Well, as long as you win in overtime, its all fine. You don't. Well, you just blew the biggest lead in the Super Bowl ever and one of the biggest leads blown in NFL history. And to add insult to injury, you slowly slumped and turned from a 11-5 NFC Champion to a 4-12 tank while you watch Brady win another Super Bowl in a snoozefest 2 years later. No coming back from here, get ready for a ride with failure after failure.

28 Patriots, 24 Seahawks. Seahawks have the ball on the Patriots 2. So what do you do? Pass it of course! Oh wait, you are 2 yards away and have Marshawn Lynch who could have just ran it in. Oh well, you always have next year. Or not. Well, you did win a Super Bowl the year prior, so props on that. Meanwhile the Patriots still had another Super Bowl win thanks to the 28-3 comeback. Didn't help with that neutral zone infraction penalty near the end of the game. Considering how the Seahawks are now barely a wild card team now, I don't think they are getting any significant playoff action any time soon.

Kaja: Shouldn't Do That (1985 Music Video)

The music video had 3 clay figures dancing, like on the cover of the album to represent the 3 members of kaja remaining. I thought the album was fine, but the top 100 didn't, so they disbanded after this album, which sucked because there were a lot of good songs in it like "Do I", "Charm of a Gun", "Rivers", "What Ever You Want", "Sit Down and Shut Up" and the only single from the album, "Shouldn't Do That". The music video itself was pretty goofy, but in a fun way. I really liked the bit when the clay figures had saxophones. The video ends with the wall turning into a gateway into the abyss, which kinda represents kaja's fate after this album. Kajagoogoo did come back for one last album in 2008, I believe.

The Hives: Bogus Operandi (2023 Music Video)

This song is a comeback for the hives, who haven't made an album in 12 years. This was the first song from their upcoming album they are releasing, which is going to be called the death of randy fitzsimmons. I would explain the story here, but I think it would be more fun if you read it yourself instead of me telling you. Also because I don't feel like putting this under a spoiler category. The song gives a very strong and reverberating feel at the beginning, much like a grand opening. The song itself sounds like a classic hives song, but with a more current feel. The album comes out mid-August and I am excited for the release of it. The music video certainly reflected the song, with cool stuff happening. I'm not really sure exactly, but there was a killer shovel and that was cool.

Bluey (2018– )

a good show for kids

It seems like most kid shows have either been around for 10-20 years and are now crappy or unoriginal like spongebob, or are a crappy spinoff of an existing show due to a lack of original ideas (like how nick has pretty much the loud house and spongebob and "new", uninspired versions of it and how teen nick is literally just henry danger reruns and 4 episodes of a different show every few days or so), but it is always refreshing to see a newer show that isn't brain rot for kids and also teaches kids good values and doesn't have anything that could be seen as offensive so the entire family could watch. It often has a storyline with the kids having an imaginative adventure (something unheard of these days) and them playing with other kids or their parents. It often has a lesson like "don't hog the magic stick" or "sometimes your parents need a break because they have to deal with stressful stuff", which is good to teach your kids. Also good to watch at 1 am when you have nothing to do and aren't tired.
