Oversize Cops (2017)

watchable dinner movie

Leave your expectations and pretension aside. just watch as light entertainment over a meal with friends or alone. decent, low budget, predictable comedy. you get what you expect. actually i wouldn't mind a sequel. throw in more budget a better storyline.

Boring, Clichéd and Horrible Acting
23 July 2007
The acting in this show was terrible.

the actors had the emotional range of a door knob.

camera work was amateurish and i am surprised that this was supposed to be the last work of an established director from Thailand.

anyway, i'm sorry to hear he just passed away, but his last effort should not have been like this.

nonetheless, if you can't fall asleep, watch this.

the plot was so predictable and simplistic.

The leads were good looking but they acted like wooden dummies, just mumbling their lines monotonously.

A Weak Finish
12 October 2006
Warning: Spoilers
despite some of the accolades being thrown out to this movie, i'm surprised no one has expressed disappointment with the ending of the movie. taking away nothing from the fact that this was a good movie on the whole, the ending, however, was weak, contrived and incoherent. it might as well have had pokemon or the power rangers turning up to deal with the demon/ghost. how in the world did someone with a severe facial injury walk out of the hospital in that condition and knew exactly where to go? throughout the movie, all the people who were eaten by the demon/ghost died almost instantly in severe pain. how did someone who was already seriously hurt and weakened, run several blocks, up a bridge and then try to jump off from it? so did the demon die? or did it become embedded into the tree? i can't help but notice the similarity in this ending to the ending of the horror classic 'the exorcist', where you get someone who is willfully takes on the demon/ghost into her body in order to defeat it. the acting, at times, was amateurish and the camera-work had a 'soap opera-ish' and studio like feel to it. i think the script simply ran out of ideas on how to end the tale and it spoiled an otherwise enjoyable movie.

Soft Porn for Impotent Aging Artists
26 March 2003
oh pls. it's full of pretentious s***. weak acting, lousy script. soft pseudo bondage porn disguised as 'art'.

the same problem everywhere. some movies are given acclaim due to their sheer superficial sophistry, posturing and lack of intelligibility than anything else.

i rather watch french porn. saves the BS. art my ass.

a crock of pretentious shit
3 April 2002
this just one bad lousy movie disguised as a so-called manga movie. bad plot or no plot rather. bad acting, overacting, miscasting. all full of sound and fury signifying nothing. the director tries hard to make it look 'sophisticated' with affected, pretentious, contrived and overdone camera work, often to hide the bad script. all form (whatever little there is in the directing and acting) and zero substance. it only shows how shallow and superficial his directing is. manga or not. it sucks. worse still, the characters are rather repulsive especially the lead. if the comic was meant to be a parody, the actual movie with real life people loses that effect, and actually creates a bunch of police bullies who are just sadistic one-dimensional characters. another piece of work where s*** tries to pose as 'art'.
