Eddie (1996)
Wow
20 October 2004
As a black man, I need inspiration from fellow African Americans. This film provides it...IN FOLDS! Whoopi Goldberg gives a heartwarming performance, perhaps even better than her work in "The Color Purple", "Amistad", "Ghostbusters." Goldberg's performance is masterful; however, the true star of this magical movie is Greg Ostertag. His bravery in portraying this enigma of a character is mindboggling. Little known fact about Mr.Ostertag, he portrayed the ghost of Christmas future in his 10th grade production of "A Christmas Carol." Ostertag is not only a dominating force on the basketball court, he is dominating with his screen presence in "Eddie." I recommend seeing this film immediately if only for Greg Ostertag's performance. 9/10. If you enjoy this film I would also recommend "Space Cowboys"

Busy but successful
30 December 2002
At the beginning of Catch Me if you Can. I felt that there was too much going on for this film to be successful. I felt that there were too many time switches back and forth and that maybe Spielberg had ruined a perfectly good movie trying to make it a Spielberg movie. However, fifteen minutes into the movie I became totally amazed. Great acting by DiCaprio, this part is an actors dream, however he plays it very childlike, and very believably(Amazing considering Leonardo is 28 and his character at one point is 17). Tom Hanks is very good. I was thinking on the way home that maybe a "cooler" actor could have played Carl (Hanks character) such as George Clooney. However I realized that Carl makes too many mistakes to be "cool" so Hanks fits the part. Christopher Walken does a great job. My vote 9/10. A great movie to spend an afternoon at the theater. If you don't agree with me, "Knock Knock" (You will get that after you see the flick, and hopefully you will laugh)

Chasing Amy (1997)
Greatness
23 July 2002
This movie is the funniest movie in the Jersey trilogy. Jason Lee is great as Banky Edwards, and is well on his way to stardom! Affleck is typical Affleck, boring. But the rest of the cast picks up for him. Its a very good movie. I highly suggest renting it. There is vulgar language, however there is thought behind the language and that is all that matters. Chasing Amy rules!
