Honogurai mizu no soko kara (2002)
A Horror masterpiece based on another story of Koji Suzuki.
Dark Waters is a masterpiece of slow horror. The film builds suspense gradually, creating a sense of unease and dread that lingers throughout. The film is also notable for its use of atmosphere and imagery. Nakata creates a truly unsettling world for the viewer to inhabit, one that is both familiar and alien at the same time.
The film's performances are excellent, particularly from Hitomi Kuroki as Yoshimi. Kuroki conveys Yoshimi's growing sense of fear and paranoia perfectly. The supporting cast is also strong, with Tadanobu Asano and Ryo Ishibashi giving particularly memorable performances.
Dark Waters is a must-see for fans of horror cinema. It is a slow-burning film that will stay with you long after you have seen it.
Em Bé Há-Nôi (1974)
The most precious war movie of all time.
A Little Girl of Hanoi is one of the most precious war movies of all time. It is a powerful and moving portrayal of the Vietnam War from the perspective of a child. The film is a complete opposite of the USA propaganda films of the time and is made with the heart of an invaded country.
The film is a powerful and moving portrayal of the Vietnam War from the perspective of a child who is experiencing the war firsthand, witnessing the death and destruction that it brings. However, she remains resilient and hopeful, even in the midst of the most difficult circumstances.
A Little Girl of Hanoi is a complete opposite of the USA propaganda films of the time. It does not glorify war or demonize the enemy. Instead, it shows the human cost of war and the impact that it has on ordinary people.
The film is made with the heart of an invaded country. It is a testament to the resilience of the Vietnamese people and their determination to survive.
Pocong vs. Kuntilanak (2008)
so bad it is good
Kuntilanak Vs Pocong is a 2008 Indonesian horror film that pits two of the country's most famous monsters against each other: the kuntilanak, a female ghost with long hair and a white dress, and the pocong, a corpse wrapped in white cloth. The film is a bit of a mess, but it's also a lot of fun, especially if you're into Indonesian horror movies.
The plot is pretty simple: a group of teenagers go on a camping trip to a haunted forest, where they are attacked by both a kuntilanak and a pocong. The teenagers must fight for their lives as they try to escape the forest.
The film is full of cheesy special effects and bad acting, but that's part of what makes it so much fun. The kuntilanak and pocong are both pretty scary, and the film has a few genuinely suspenseful moments.
If you're a fan of Indonesian horror movies, then you definitely need to check out Kuntilanak Vs Pocong. It's not a perfect film, but it's a lot of fun and it's sure to give you a few scares.
I love watching this movie with irony. It's so ridiculous and over-the-top, but it's also surprisingly suspenseful and scary at times. The special effects are cheesy, but that's part of what makes the movie so much fun.
One of my favorite things about Kuntilanak Vs Pocong is the way it uses Indonesian folklore. The kuntilanak and pocong are both iconic creatures in Indonesian culture, and the film does a great job of bringing them to life.
