Housekeeping (II) (2015)

Please DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME

This movie is pure trash. No dialogue except what you hear through an answering machine, which is meant to narrate the story since they think not having their characters speak is a novel idea.

I paid pretty close attention to this and still am not sure what it was about. There was a fire and the main girl had rescued her brother while possibly not rescuing someone else. She needs now to clean a house for 3 weeks for some unknown person (possibly a victim's family member in the fire?) in order to keep her brother out of trouble. He appears to be being held captive and tortured. I guess.

She has dreams but then is not dreaming? I don't get. Near the end, she is suddenly tied up in a car but I have no clue how this happened or who did this to her. But it doesn't matter because 2 minutes later she wakes up tied up on her couch and slips right out of the knots. It ends by stating revenge is a bi***. No, this move is a bi*** and I am really hoping potential viewers are reading this in advance and will spare 90 minutes of their life. If there was law enforcement in the movie world, this one would be guilty of so many crimes. It is definitely criminal. BTW, I did not click the spoiler icon because I do not know if I spoiled anything or if there was even anything to spoil.

Bad acting leads the way

The guy playing Paul is about the worst actor I have seen on a Lifetime movie. Ok, that is not fair. Let's just say he acted poorly in this movie, of course the plot was pretty bad.

The only worse actor on a Lifetime movie I could think of is the woman that played the lead character in this very movie. I was not feeling it. This is for Rick, this is for blah, this is for blah blah. Come on, a bit enthusiasm please. However, she had great legs and is very pretty so she is OK in my book.

As for the movie, maybe I missed something as I was working while watching but how is it that the dead woman remains in the house and doesn't stink up the place? Any wouldn't dude's wife asked why she can't go in the locked room or also smell the rotting corpse. I mean he did say keep the room at 65, but maybe 32 would have been better.

Lifetime movies at least allow me to play along when guessing the killer and the motive and sometimes I am wrong, but there was none of that with this one.

Relic Hunter (1999–2002)

Tia Carrere and fun stories makes this worthwhile

I will start off by saying that Tia Carrere is one of the most stunningly attractive actresses I ever seen. She has great wit and charm as well. I probably would not have made it through more than 2 episodes without her.

It is also clear that the producers were well aware of her sexiness, as barely an episode goes by when her character does not strip down to bra and panties or something else revealing.

The shows moves at a fast pace and has good supporting characters as well but this is nothing more than a fun watch, which it was meant be and was since it ran as long as it did. I recommend sitting through a few episodes and see what you think. Available for free on many streaming services.

Eye IWatch (2017)

Way too long but...

This movie was way too long and got kind of dreadful at the end.

On a positive note, I like a lot of the scenes that could have been cut out. Sometimes its obvious that certain scenes are not needed but in this case, there was a lot of scenes that seemingly had to do with nothing other than establishing more character that remain in the finished product. Pretty much all the interaction between the main character and the sub-characters.

For example, the bikini girl tanning. Great for eye candy but I don't know that there was any need for her and those scenes.

I really enjoyed the support group scene. The most dysfunctional support group ever, but hilarious.

A lot of fun dialogue overall. Kind of reminded me of Seinfeld - a movie about nothing.

Ratter (2015)

I am really wondering what it was I just watched. I know it wasn't a movie.

I am not including any spoilers as there are none.

Nothing ever happens.

Think of what it would be like to watch somebody 24/7 with a camera hidden inside their home. Be boring right? Well, that's pretty much all there is here and it is not even interesting. I think there was a plot, but not so sure.

After the credits, I thought there may be something more that would make me give this more than 1 star, but no. More of nothing.

1 question - for the folks involved in the making of this video, when they sat back and watched it after it was done, did they really think to themselves, "wow this is really good?"

Wrong Swipe (I) (2016)

Great for mystery watchers

Lifetime Network type movie (maybe it was) but I liked it because they introduced a lot of suspects and built cases for them. About half way through, I paused and thought of all the suspects and their possible motive and made a guess. I was wrong on my first guess and learned it was my second option. I would encourage those watching to do the same thing as I did to add some fun to this.

I still don't know what the dad's death has anything to do with anything. I kept trying to figure out if it would be linked to the suspect, which would have given motive that was unknown to the viewer. That would would have made this more clever.

Maybe I missed something.

Rest Area (I) (2020)

Made me laugh out loud

Seriously, this is a comedy and should be viewed this way. Some good slapstick laughs. Detectives are great! Was not made to be taken seriously. Spend an hour and watch it.

For real, those involved in this garbage should face felony charges. It's too bad independent filmmakers can not be held to higher standards.

And Tubi should really review what they put on their site before doing so.

Shame on everyone involved in this. I hope you have a good day job.

Truth or Dare (II) (2013)

Makers of this garbage need to play T&D with one another so they stop trying to be in the movie biz

Made for one reason - gore effect. Nothing else.

Six people all have a hidden dark secret - one sleeps with his sister, one was born the opposite sex, one has terminal cancer, one is pedophile, etc, etc Oh, and the main character happens to have figured out all this while nobody else knows.

Come on, please. Anyone involved in the making of this movie should be ashamed of themselves. I'm sure their careers are going well in film-making.

By the way, these aren't spoilers cause the movie sucks worse than most anything I've seen. There are reasons movies like this are free on Tubi.

Hacksaw (2020)

Bad

You don't need CGI and special effects to create gore when the movie is so darkly lit that you can't see what is happening. Good shock value I guess and Ashley looks good in her blood-spattered top. Just skip to these few minutes and be done. Oh and can the main actor be any more annoying? Are people really that annoying?

Ride Scare (2020)

OMG, this is garbage. Long drawn out scenes. It takes a woman a minute to walk to her door, the lead character cries on the toilet for 2 minutes, etc. I thin this was made simply for PC reasons. Asian lead, black and Hispanic cops, black boss, white serial killer. Then the credits say continued in Ride Share 2 - Nooooooo!

Main Street Meats (2017)

This needs to be a series

About half way through I felt like I was watching the pilot episode of a TV series. Really, the characters could all be developed in great detail. You have the main star, the girl from out of town. Maybe make her a bit more naïve next door type. They had three siblings all with different characteristics. There was the mayor, lady at the diner, guy with interest in the lead woman and his friends; police officers and more. Then you have the ornery towns people. Oh and I love the filming in front of an old drive-in, which I did Google to find out was in WI. There is so much here and these characters can be developed so much more. Think of the intrigue of an ongoing series. Where are these bodies coming from regularly? How is the investigation going? What about the relationships that will develop? Does Cherry (nice looking) continue to work without any knowledge of what is happening? Come on already sell this to someone before I do- but if you do, I want some credit. In all, a real fun movie and I liked that it had gore but not to the point of disgusting like the Walking Dead, which goes to the extreme because the writers think that's everyone wants. I digress. Good stuff here. And no, I am not in the credits. Otherwise I'd give it a 10. I just watch movies on Tubi.

There is nothing bad about a movie with five highly attractive young women that are scantily clad for most of the film. Yes, that added a few stars to my rating. The story is not terrible either and the characters are fun. Worth a watch.

Thy Neighbor (2018)

Will keep your attention but...

The creepy neighbor (played well) would have been reported to the police after the first couple incidents - even if it was happening to a pastor who wanted to make him a better person. You almost forget the pastor and his wife have a child. He is shown once near the beginning and then not until he goes missing. Barely mentioned. I agree there is no background explained about the neighbor besides his grandmother story. Does he work, ever been married, why is he so creepy? This is not a horror movie by no means.
