Jojo in the Stars (2003)
Pretty Good
I thought it was done well. I loved the artistic execution, and the 3d texturing and composition was very good, as was the animation. However I thought the theme was a bit un-original. I mean, a freak show, and a love story. It's alright, but it seemed like they were trying too hard to be quirky, and came off looking as though they have stolen a few concepts from elsewhere. I'm not saying that they have stolen ideas from anyone, just that the overall feeling of the film has been done many times in this kind of media. Other than that I did like it, good character design (mostly), but to be honest, I'm sure there were more worthy animations to receive the BAFTA. 6/10
The Matrix Reloaded (2003)
dont rely on others opinions
I went into this film knowing that im either going to love it or hate it, based on the reviews. I came out LOVING it.
All the reviews that dont like this film say its too pretentious, and top heavy on the special effects. These people are obviously took the film way too seriously.
The story line is great, they have carried it on VERY well from the first film not going down the obvious routes that they could have taken. And to my great appreciation the script wasnt made as simple as possible to help slow people understand, which is all too common with films nowadays.
This film is as close as youre gonna get to a live action Manga. Think a cross between Ninja Scroll, Ghost in the Shell and Martial arts comparable to Jet Li's style. YEAH!!!!
Ringu 2 (1999)
A Confusing Disappointment
I have seen many Japanese movies, and a lot of the time I have noticed that they try to confuse the audience into what the hell is actually going on, then at the end they give away one piece of information that sort of explains the previous events. I feel that this film tries to explain what happened in the first film with science. This in fact made the first film seem 100% less scary. Don't watch this film if you thought the first film deserved 10/10 because it will ruin it for you. Also don't watch this film if you haven't seen the first one.

Ling (1999)
Scared the cr*p out of me
This is one of the scariest film I've ever seen, even if i did watch it by myself on Friday 13th at midnight.
The photography is inspiring, along with the beautiful Japanese scenery. In referral to the story line, it is a refreshing 'back to the old school' style of a horror movie. In other words its what you don't see that you should fear.
There are minimal special effects but those effects that are there are done with great skill.
Make sure you see the subtitled version and not dubbed. Dubbing makes films seem somewhat comical.
