MINI-SPOILERS: If it weren't for the bad controls, this game could be more enjoyable.
14 June 2010
Warning: Spoilers
Honestly, I was hoping this game was another great Ace Combat game for a portable gaming system, sadly however, the game controls are terrible and is very frustrating to attempt to get a better ranking and completing harder challenges. I recommend this game to anyone who is a huge Ace Combat fan. Having to control the aircraft with the mini-analog stick is awkward and frustrating at times. Sometimes, you might lose control of the aircraft and crash while losing control of the movement and pitching. Now, as far as the story and voice acting goes, voice acting is just so-and-so. None of the anime voice actors in the US were involved with the voice acting, but still, the voice actors for this game did what they could for a minor story quality. The cut-scenes feel as if you're playing Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies. I would personally avoid this game or just consider it a rental. But if this game works for you Ace Combat fans, then Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception is the perfect start for a portable version. I just wouldn't recommend Ace Combat Advance.

The Last Remnant (2008 Video Game)
The worst RPGs ever since Unlimited Saga.
10 October 2009
Ever since the SaGa series coming to the US, they all sucked, well guess what? The Last Remnant is no different than the SaGa series apparently since the game was produced by the SaGa game developer. Everything is bad for this game. Grinding system is bad. Everything sucks about this game. If you lose the boss fight, you'll hate this game more. Square Enix has been declared the worst failures in an attempt to make a SaGa inspired game like a disastrous masterwork. Stupid-donkeys they are. Don't check this game out. You'll start hating Square Enix if you do so. Square Enix has learned their lessons that making bad RPGs will destroy the video game industry. We don't want that. The Last Remnant is SaGa Frontier Xtreme. Stupid game title.

C: The Contra Adventure (1998 Video Game)
The Contra series has never gotten even worse than this one.
22 May 2006
C: The Contra Adventure is another PSone attempt to develop a better Contra game, but we were wrong. Instead of the original developers at Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo to do the development, it is once again handled by the Hungarian developers Appaloosa Interactive. First off, the game now has a life bar, graphics in full terrible blocky 3D polygons, boring gameplay and many more as it sucks to play this garbage. This game is only for one player and to lose a life, you would have to take enough hits to lose one. This is just utter crap and nonsense. Traditional Contra games tends to be that one hit from the enemy or their attacks you lose a life. The entire game's view is mostly in 3rd person while the first and last stage is traditional side view of most original Contra game. Heed my words, do not bother with this piece of crap. Go for the latest Contra games on PlayStation 2 instead. It was Appaloosa Interactive's downfall of the gameplay that caused the worse of Contra.

Genki's 1st person shooter you can rely on.
10 February 2006
Genki, the company who brought us the most pitiful attempts of 1st person shooter Kileak the Blood (AKA Kileak: The DNA Imperative) and Kileak the Blood 2: Reason in Madness (AKA Epidemic) somehow made a last attempt for a 1st person shooter involving mechanical robots and Beltlogger 9 (AKA BRAHMA Force: The Assault on Beltlogger 9) is better than those pitiful Kileak video game series. This game features some more controls that most 1st person shooter fan would want. There is a jumping, weapon upgrading, and extra secrets for this game. If I were you, Beltlogger 9 is your only choice. Otherwise, just stick to Halo or Doom 3.

Contra: Legacy of War (1996 Video Game)
The worst Contra game of all times on PlayStation.
27 January 2006
Contra: Legacy of War is of no doubt the worst Contra game ever. First off, the game was developed by the Hungarian developer Appaloosa Interactive and KCET (now Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo) is missing from the development production of the Contra series. The graphics were so horrible, especially the terrible character designs of the game. The controls in this game are so screwed up that you can't aim very well at various times and evading attacks is a mere pathetic problem. The life system in this game is nothing like the traditional Contra games where the characters dies from one hit. Instead, you take a hit and hear your character scream in a lame way. After they take enough hits, they blow up instead of falling to the ground. This game is so frustrating that you regret even playing this garbage for the first time. And that's not all. There is a 3D mode in this game that requires the included 3D glasses from the early release. Like hell we would be interested in that feature. No one needs 3D glasses to see that games are in 3D, that is all relied on polygons and cel-shaded graphics. Take my advice and don't even lay a finger on this game. Try the Contra series on PlayStation 2 such as Contra: Shattered Soldier and Neo Contra. You won't be disappointed with those Contra games.

Castle of Shikigami (2001 Video Game)
How pathetic for the US version of this game.
29 November 2005
This game was suppose to be an arcade perfect overhead scroll shooters as flying human beings. This game was unexpectedly released by XS Games LLC. in the US but with rather many pathetic disappointment. First off, the game's story mode was taken out for the US version. Second, the original Japanese voice-overs were replaced by the English voice acting which sounded notorious worst than DOA: Hardcore's English voices. This game's title in the US was called Mobile Light Force 2 and who the hell would want that name for this kind of game. The game was suppose to be called Castle Shikigami. What's even worse, the US game's box art was extremely horrendously terrible. Those were just girls holding guns and shooting things (like Charlie's Angel) and has no reference to the actual Japanese version of the game itself. At this time, you'll have to wait for part 2 of this game. I only hope that XS Games won't make that same poor translation mistake as for this one.

Epidemic (1995 Video Game)
Slight improvement over the original series, but still another worst game for PlayStation.
18 October 2005
Kileak the Blood 2: Reason in Madness (AKA Epidemic) is the sequel to Kileak the Blood (AKA Kileak: The DNA Imperative). There are some slight improvement, but is still not enjoyable at all. First of all, this game takes place 27 years after Matthew Takashi Coda brought an end to Dr. Kim's evil scheme and sacrificed himself to destroy the Antarctic Base. You basically play as Masao Coda, Matt Coda's son and is inside a mechanical robotic suit. The only improvements are the moving effects where you hear yourself walk when you move and the dashing ability to move faster and evade enemies weapons. Still though, you will be so bored with this game and just get frustrated again. It also does feature some cinematic cut-scenes which unfolds the story. If you really are looking for a first-person shooter developed by a Japanese development company, you may be out of luck if you are a PlayStation or PlayStation 2 owner. For this game, I suggest avoid playing this game.

Kileak: The DNA Imperative (1995 Video Game)
One of the worst PlayStation games of all time.
18 October 2005
Kileak the Blood (AKA Kileak: The DNA Imperative) is no doubt one of the worst games ever. First of all, this game is a first-person shooter done in a way that is so repetitive and boring. You are basically Matthew Takashi Coda inside a mechanical robotic battle suit investigating an Antarctic Base that must be stopped before more chaos happens. All you do is use a boring kind of weapon firing and the enemies fight so hostile that makes it frustrating. There are no secrets to unlock since this game was developed in the mid 1990s. Watching the data terminal about Dr. Kim is also the worst part of it. They hired an on-camera actor to act like Dr. Kim and the English voices don't even match what he is saying especially the other man that was the victim of the Antarctic Base. Take my advice, don't even bother playing this game. The moment you start playing it, you will be so emotionally frustrated by the worst game play.

Wu-Tang: Shaolin Style (1999 Video Game)
This is a no go for a game featuring hip-hop artists.
1 September 2005
Wu-Tang: Shaolin Style is what I considered the worst and an extremely pitiful developed games ever. First of all, this game was originally a game formerly known as Thrill Kill. That game could never get released for PlayStation since it was so intensely violent. The developers then would develop this game using the now deceased Thrill Kill engine and adding the hip-hop group The Wu-Tang Clans into the game. The illustrations were so terrible that I would prefer something better than that. The game play is so horrible that it is just impossible to defeat a difficult opponent. The voice acting is definitely pitiful since there wasn't much of a story to this game and that the Wu-Tang Clans rarely had any voice roles in the cut-scenes and game play. If you really want to play a game featuring hip-hop artists, try 25 to Life from Eidos, Crime Life: Gang Wars or the hip-hop karaoke like game called Get on the Mic from Eidos. There are definitely lots of games out there that features hip-hop artists for their voice performance or songs. This game is definitely not for someone who is a true hardcore hip-hop music fan.

Mega Man Soccer (1994 Video Game)
The worst and a pitiful idea of a game play genre for a Mega Man game.
15 May 2005
Rockman Soccer (AKA Mega Man Soccer) is not a game you really want to check out. First of all, this game is not even played like a normal Mega man genre. Instead, this game is more of a battle soccer sports game with various characters from lots of Mega Man series. What you have to do is to win like regular soccer. Each characters has limited special kicking moves for the soccerball. Depending on the goalie's weakness, they may not take the damage, instead they would just catch the ball and kick it to the players. Passing the soccer ball is very sluggish because after a few passes, the opponent will always likely be able to take the ball. And worst of all, there is no ending scene in the normal story mode and I believe that Capcom in that early year for the US version had the nerves to remove the endings from that game. That's just really damn stupid. If I were you, don't even think of laying a finger on this game. Believe me, you'll regret ever having to play this game when you start playing this game.

If you think this will be a great game, think again.
3 March 2005
Inuyasha: The Secret of the Cursed Mask is one of the worst RPGs on PlayStation 2 since Unlimited Saga. First of all, the game is about that you assume the role of the Kururugi boy or girl and he or she falls into a hole and into Feudal Japan. In Feudal Japan, he or she meets Inuyasha and his friends and go on a journey for the Kururugi boy or girl to go back to his or her world. First, game's background are pre-rendered and are pretty outdated technology for graphics. Second the battle system is slow, and I mean VERY slow. Every time you confirm the battle command, you have to wait at least 1 second per selection. Plus, you cannot skip dual special attack cut-scenes. They are well drawn and animated, but if you are trying to finish the game quickly, I'm afraid you are out of luck. Finally, the last thing bad about this game is that there aren't lots of cut-scenes with animated characters like Inuyasha and his friends. You only get to see one of them when you defeat Naraku. Depending on who you make strong friendship with one of Inuyasha's friends, you'll get the ending, but they are boring, VERY boring. The only thing that is not bad about this game is the English voice acting which are voiced by the original voice actors of the Inuyasha TV series. If you want better anime based video game, try Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex or Fullmetal Alchemist and the Broken Angel. You'll have more fun with those games than this Inuyasha game I consider garbage.

Guilty Gear Isuka (2004 Video Game)
The worst Guilty Gear game of all time.
2 February 2005
Guilty Gear Isuka is the 5th installment of the Guilty Gear series and is the worst one of all time. First of all, everything in the game has changed, the controls are a little different because now you have to press the turn around button to face the opponent behind you, your character doesn't automatically turn around and face the opponent. Thus this creates big confusions. The Instant Kill move is no longer available now because of the fact that four fighters can play at a time. This is no fun for me since I really liked the Instant Kills. And there is no story to this game like it had in Guilty Gear XX (Guilty Gear X2 in the US). Play this game only if you're into having four people to fight at once otherwise, just stay away from this pitiful game. You'll just have to wait a little later in the year 2005 if there will ever be another Guilty Gear game again.

Final Fantasy X-2 (2003 Video Game)
A worthy sequel for a Final Fantasy game.
11 March 2004
If you are really into RPGs that only lets you play as only female characters, then this is your only choice. The storyline may be non-linear, but that really doesn't matter. In battle, you have the ability to change into different costumes which makes this game interesting. This game also has a Charlie's Angel feeling to it since the main characters are three female characters. The most interesting sub-characters are Brother, Buddy, Shinra, Wakka, Lulu, Beclem, Lucil, Elma, Clasko, and many more. Once again, select this game for your collection. If this game would be your favorite, Yuna might make you excited thanks to her singing performance. Paine may not be the talkative type, but later in the game, she'll talk more.

Gunvalkyrie (2002 Video Game)
This game truly sucks big time. Don't bother playing it.
19 September 2003
Gunvalkyrie is one of the worst Xbox games out there. First of all, the controls of the game is a major upset. What's even worse, there are no control configurations. Using the right analog stick to aim really sucks because the aiming cursor will not stay in one place. Once you move the aiming cursor, it will go back to default which can be very frustrating due to the fact you will not aim well at the enemy above and below you. It is just like the Timesplitters series about the aiming cursor. Don't even bother playing this game. This game is garbage. Instead, why don't you try other games that Smilebit developed for Sega like Jet Set Radio Future or Panzer Dragoon Orta. Those games far surpass Gunvalkyrie.

Unlimited Saga (2002 Video Game)
The worst RPG of all of the SaGa series.
6 August 2003
When I first played this game, everything is all different and even worse, now. To move a character, you use the left analog stick to guide the stick character figure to that location and this is totally messed up. Not to mention the slots for trap evasions and turn-based combat which is very frustrating. The battle system was also terrible. When a character is dangerously low on HP, you can't even recover HP at any point of battle or on the field. The game play is extremely boring since this is not a traditional RPG where you can move characters, talk to NPCs, have a basic battle system and so on and so on. I think was a mistake for me to play this game in the first place. If I were you, don't even bother renting or buying this game. Wait for Final Fantasy X-2, Drakengard, Front Mission 4, Star Ocean: Till the End of Time, Fullmetal Alchemist and the Broken Angel or Musashi: Samurai Legend. Those Square Enix titles are far better than this terrible game.
