Invasie (2024)
And a 3 is very generous. Believe me.
So.. apparently the director also was a part of 'Mocro Maffia' and 'The Golden Hour'.
It does not show.
The movie is illogical (I can see past factual inaccuracies or mildly unbelievable scenarios because after all this is fiction) to a point that I took my phone out halfway to enjoy myself another way.
Acting is okayish, not good, not cringeworthy bad.
SFX is okayish, not good, not bad.
The story is.. OK.
If you have absolutely nothing else to do and you get to watch this movie for free.. go in with low expectations and you might get some entertainment value out of it.
Dont expect it to be near the level of 'Mocro Maffia' and/or 'The Golden Hour' though.
The Beekeeper (2024)
What did I just watch?
Honestly, I am not one to write negative reviews about movies.
To each their own and taste makes everyone unique.
But what the hell did I just waste time on.
The plot seems like it has been AI-generated.
Predictable, poor acting (besides Statham), forced sentences to try and make something funny.
If you're reading this and you're like, ah.. I like over the top stupid no content action flicks.
Go give it a try and return with a review.
I am counting on you to tell IMDB how this compares to for instance a Die Hard- trilogy or any of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jean Claude van Damme movies.
Jason, please stick to acting.

House of Cards - Samurai style
When I checked the rating of this show. I was content, it reflects my view of the show as well.
When I read some of the (negative) reviews, I was surprised.
Sure, I haven't read the book. So I don't know if this is a perfect adaption.
But on it's own it stands out as a House of Cards-style show that keeps you locked in from beginning to end of each episode.
The intricacies of japanese politics, the clash and influence of outside religion and cultures, man.. it's just delicious to consume.
If you're looking for a show that is packed with action and fighting. This is not the show.
If you're looking for a show that makes you want to live in this japanese era, while also having moments of fun and action, don't miss out!
Snowfall (2017)
Re-Registered to do this show justice!
I've got another account but I forgot the details.
I went through the trouble to create a fresh account and restart my movie/show reviewing journey because I saw Snowfall had 'just an 8,3'.
This show deserves a 9,5. Solid.
Pace is perfect, bit too complicated for my wife at the beginning, but nailed it for me perfectly.
Starting several character development arcs at the same time.. seeing them evolve over the seasons.
Amazing.
The characters themselves, well written and not one-dimensional.
I'm at the end of season 4 and already kind of dissapointed I only have 2 more seasons to go.
This is one of the best 'breaking bad' shows since breaking bad. With a higher pace.
Go watch this show, it will not dissapoint.
