Annie (2014)
Not to offend anyone, but I HATE this version!
There is a lot I hate about this version. Spoilers, I may rage!
It ruined the 1977 broadway version, and the 1982 version, which is more iconic and loveable. They blackwashed annie and now she is unrecognizable. The story takes place in 1933, but NOOO!! There's nothing that's 1933 in this version, it feels like it takes place in 2022. And they replaced Duffy with Isabella, HOW DUMB!! AND THEY EVEN REMOVED KATE!!!! And instead of an orphanage THEY LIVE IN A FOSTERCARE!!! AND ALSO CHANGING AGATHA HANNIGAN'S NAME TO COLLEEN!! AND IT JUST HAD TO MODIFY EVERY. SINGLE. CHARACTER!!!
Sorry for the anger, I just hate this version.
The next time I see a more recent adaptation of Annie it better not be like THIS!!!
The Scrambled States of America (2000)
I really love this video
I first heard of this in 2021, when i was obsessed with the 50 states(which will go on for a very long time), i really love the colorful visuals, story, and some moments are very easy to remember. Like when Kansas had a 285-mile-wide smile, and the bird mentioned it in the video(in the book it's just a note in parentheses) , and when california says he's lactose intolerant, the cheese wiconsin offered him jumps out of wisconsin's hand, comes to life, and says "Well, excuse me!"
SPOILERS: I still am obsessed with the 50 states.
I recommend getting your young kid this video on DVD. Or simply playing it on youtube(there's a video on youtube with the full video).
Vozvrashchenie Buratino (2013)
I think this movie is cute
When I watched the movie, I found it fascinating and very good. I honestly think its cute and the plot is very interesting. It gives me remembrance of when I used to watch cartoons in the DVD player built into the family van as a toddler(even though I don't remember watching it as a toddler).
I can understand what is going on even though I cant understand the language. I wish it was released here in the US. If I ever have a niece or nephew in the future I will definitely show them this. The ending is very fun too. This movie really makes the child in me smile. I would definitely recommend watching.
