Cocoon (2020)
A Great Escape From Toxicity
Toxicity can affect people in many different ways. Sometimes, it makes them want to find a way to escape. Escapism is the tendency to seek distraction and relief from unpleasant realities, especially by seeking entertainment or engaging in fantasy. I myself have used escapism. This short film has an example of toxicity in the form of Jeff's attitude towards Debb and Andy. Andy's dad's death reminds me of when my gramps passed away 2 days before I turned 10. The fact that Jeff would leave Debb and then come back reminds me of the cycle my dad and ex-stepmom had when I was a kid: before they got married, they broke up a couple times and my ex-stepmom would tell him to leave. However, my dad knew he had to be there for her kids because their dad was almost never around. In fact, Jeff reminds me of my ex-stepmom. Anyhow, it broke my heart to see Andy get slapped by Jeff. I'd recommend this short film.
Periculum (2021)
Strained Relationships
Periculum and Captis show us about strained relationships. Lots of people have strained relationships with their parents. Ares and his dad are a good example. Another example is me and my mom. Some relationships get so strained, children would run away because they can't take it anymore. Anyway, I like how much Maura cares about Ares. She reminds me of my older sister. I also like how concerned Bennet was about Ares' well-being. When Damien beat Ares, made him spit blood, and gave him that big mark on his cheek, it broke my heart. I've seen all the short films so far. Excited for Limulus in 2025!
Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time (2013)
Sly Must Come Back
I really love this game! I love how you can time travel and play as 5 of Sly's ancestors. Sly 5 needs to happen. If it does happen, there had better not be another cliffhanger. Penelope could either be the main antagonist or get a redemption arc. Sly can't be trapped in ancient Egypt forever! He just can't! There's gotta be a way for Sly to get home! It's already been 11 years since this game came out. I'd also like to see the Guru make a return. Maybe Sly 5 could have Henriette "One Eye" Cooper, Slytunkhamen Cooper, Otto van Cooper, Thaddeus Winslow Cooper III, and Slaigh MacCooper as playable characters. Anyway, please bring Sly back!
Borderline (2018)
Weird, But Intriguing
This short film is weird, but I like it. For what it's worth, I'm weird too. Anyway, I like Forde. He's like me when I was little: silent, curious, and scared. I often feel a connection to fictional younger siblings: Luigi from Mario, Tiny Kong from Donkey Kong, Scar from The Lion King, Anastasia Tremaine from Disney's Cinderella, Uka Uka from Crash Bandicoot, etc. Borderline and AND-1139 are equally intriguing short films. Not sure how I feel about Forde's brother. Once again, I'd like to give Chris Brian a round of applause for yet another extraordinary performance. Keep up the good work, my friend.
AND-1139 (2019)
Understanding Feelings
I think this short film teaches us how to understand one's feelings, whether you're a human, a robot, or an animal. It also shows that love sometimes comes as a surprise. I like how Andy's upgrade allowed him to feel. This is definitely one of the most intriguing short films I've ever watched, alongside Borderline. Christopher Brian did such a great job in both of them. I'd expect nothing less from one of my favorite actors. Periculum, Captis, and Cocoon are also intriguing, but I haven't watched them because I can't find them. Anywho, it's important to understand people's feelings. Way to go, Chris!
All-American Boy (2020)
A Lesson About Trauma and Honesty
Trauma has many ways of affecting people: hyperventilation, emotional scars, nightmares, night terrors, etc. This film particularly has shown moments of trauma. I myself know the feeling of trauma. Nevertheless, this is a great movie. I think it teaches us to be careful who we like, trust, or hang out with. One can never be too cautious. It also has a lesson about honesty. It's very important to be open about certain things. If something is really bothering somebody, they need to talk to someone. I should know. I may have a hard time talking to people sometimes, but I try my best. Long story short, Moving Forward Films did a good job. For those who say otherwise: lay off. I really like Chris Brian! He's my friend and a brilliant actor and singer. He never ceases to make me smile.
Finding You (2021)
Love Will Find a Way
Love has many ways of showing itself: same gender, opposite gender, love at first sight, sacrifice, etc. This short film series in particular shows that it doesn't matter whether you fall in love with someone of the same or opposite gender as long as you're happy. I have 3 gay friends and I'm proud of them for being who they are. I hope they each find someone to love. Anyway, when Jonathan got pushed down the staircase by Sam in episode 4, it broke my heart. I appreciate Moving Forward Films. Christopher Brian did a particularly fantastic job here. So, remember ladies and gentlemen: love will find a way. There's no path you haven't hewn. To one's heart no seed unplanted, no flower unstrewn. Sorry for the rhyme.
A Look in the Rear View (2023)
The Hilarious Bomb
This movie is, without a doubt, one of the best movies I've ever watched! Christopher Brian is one of my favorite actors! I highly recommend A Look in the Rear View. It has a lot of comedy and it's good for a laugh. Make 'em laugh! It's perfect for comedians such as myself. It's good for those who like to reflect on their high school years. I know I certainly do. Chris is a brilliant actor. If anybody can make a movie great, it's him. I honestly don't know what else to say other than the fact that this is one of the best movies of 2023, alongside The Super Mario Bros Movie. In short, this movie has maximum awesomeness!
