Supa Modo (2018)
Endearing, filled with love
A beautiful tale of life and death, hope and love. This beautifully shot movie has an amazing script that deals with an extremely difficult ordeal and brings it to the screen with soft touches of light, smiles and dreams. Will watch it again.
Teströl és lélekröl (2017)
Beautiful, painful and visionary
The pain of human existence, the misery and banality of the flesh, our carnivore existence causing pain to other living creatures intertwining with that which we don't understand. This is a beautiful poem of human existence beyond the flesh and blood, closer to the soul, whatever that may be. This movie is a visual tour-de-force, beautifully shot from beginning to end, with clear tones of light that move us closer to that light at the end of the tunnel, as cliché as it may be, but able to help us understand that concept of the ethereal existence of human life -the soul; then color appears to show us this heavy burden of the body. As in dreams, we are suddenly awakened by abrupt cuts that are perfectly timed and precise, like a cut from a glass on the flesh; in addition, these cuts remind you of that sudden moment when you are rudely awaken by an alarm clock that catapults you into the mundane existence of every day life. What to say of the acting: Superb! Géza Morcsányi and Alexandra Borbély pierce into your soul wit honesty, naiveness and a child-like gaze proper of those who recognize love -not of the flesh- for the first time. Ildikó Enyedi has created a masterpiece tat will linger in my dreams forever. Thank you.
