Rumble in L.A. (1999)
Rumble in LA, a true masterpiece
Rumble in LA is a true masterpiece of cinematography, story telling, and sound design. Shawn Neth's performance was truly breathtaking and his flare and passion for the craft is inspiring even to a person with no acting or experience in the craft. The heartbreaking and true story about the hardships of the Chinese Americans in America in the 90's is one of the many reasons I, as a Chinese-American, strive to succeed in the modern world. Iconic scenes from the movie include the section where Neth's character, Kero, is in a futuristic boat and remarks about his past and states "its rumbling time" and rumbles all over the place. It is a good thing that Kero doesn't have hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia because the script writing and scene directing were awe inspiring to say the least. Overall this movie got my movie of the year, and maybe my favorite movie of all time.
