Sad but true story about Guantanamo Bay.
25 February 2021
I think The Mauritanian gives a very insightful look at the extent governments will go to coverup how the treat prisoners. Here in the United States and other countries around the world. Doing all that can be done to get false witness against anyone. The end does not justify the means, which is something brought to light in this movie. This is a true story from the story told in the book Guantánamo Diary, written by Mohamedou Ould Slahi. It tells of his experiences in Guantanamo Bay. Maybe one day we will learn to treat each others as humans and respect deserved until the facts are proven.

Where do you stand with God?
13 April 2012
Warning: Spoilers
It's happened to many of us. Especially those who may have been in "church" all their lives. You grow up being thought of God and Jesus. As you get into your teens and twenties like Don in the movie you may have questioned those things you were taught. Like Don you stray away and deny what you know in your heart is right. Doubting the existence of God. You think things of people that really aren't right. You think you are so good, when you really aren't. You need to forgive and need forgiveness. After a time you discover God. Right there with you. Never leaving you during your doubt. And proving himself to you as Christ did to Thomas. Like Don you seek that forgiveness and offer it to others. Returning to the God you know does existence, who knows you, forgives you and wants you do the same.

There is Hope.....
9 April 2010
Very well done movie. The hope of a young man with cancer. He is worried about his mother and family. After the family has struggled with the death of his father and then him getting brain cancer. He writes letters to God. Talking about his feelings and things he hope God will do for his family, friends and neighbors. He is not afraid to die. He says he knows at least two people in Heaven already. His hope and faith in God holds true. His prayers ( letters ) to God are answered. All of our prayers are answered. Sometimes not the answer we are looking for. But that is no reason to give up hope. There is a Hope, a Truth and a Life......
