The Last of Us (2023)
One of the best post apocalyptic shows.
The Last of Us TV series is a masterclass in storytelling, with Pedro Pascal delivering a phenomenal performance as Joel. He brings depth and nuance to the character, perfectly capturing the complexity of a man haunted by his past. The show's atmospheric tension, paired with its thoughtful pacing, makes for a gripping experience. The supporting cast, particularly Bella Ramsey as Ellie, shines alongside Pascal. The show's themes of love, loss, and survival are expertly woven throughout, making for a compelling and emotional ride. A must-watch for fans of the game and newcomers alike! However, if you're coming from the game, expect minor differences from the storyline.
Prison Break (2005)
Best I've ever seen
Prison Break is a gripping and intense series that will keep you on the edge of your seat! The show's clever plot twists, combined with its well-developed characters and their complex relationships, make for a thrilling ride. The actors' superb performances bring depth and emotion to the story, making it easy to become invested in their struggles. With its perfect balance of action, suspense, and drama, Prison Break is a must-watch for anyone who loves a good thriller! The show's five seasons are expertly crafted, with each episode ending in a cliffhanger that leaves you eagerly awaiting the next installment. I highly recommend it to anyone that enjoys high-action thrillers.
The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live (2024)
Great but ending is rushed and we need a whole gang reunion
The show overall is great, probably one of the better spin-offs. However the ending when Rick and Michonne reunite with Judith and RJ is clearly rushed. They should've made final episode 10-20 minutes longer. It's also a bit of a disappointment that we didn't get Rick and Michonne's reaction to the Commonwealth.
We also need to see Rick's reunions with Daryl, Negan, Eugene and all the other survivors that he hasn't seen in 10 years. Hopefully we see that reunion soon either in another spin-off show, S2 of The Ones Who Live, or even a 12th season of the main show. Also Rick's reactions to all the deaths that have happened along the way like Rosita.
