this movie is very familiar to george melies movie tchin chao the chinese conjurer from 1904 but melies worked with living animals and pathe did not he uses some other techniques,i see it as a remake of melies work.

this work from pathe is very nice to see with full of special effects familiar with works from george melies,the hand colored film looks very colorful and the magic from the lamp is really well done for its time and a good arabian nights atmosphere as well.

very nice fantasy movie with good special effects for its time, the spider in the glass vial is very funny and well done,also when the vial spit fireworks into a tun a ghost appears is a great moment in this short fantasy with some horror influence.

this movie has great backgrounds from the castle,the greatest moment is a real horror moment when the woman goes into the forbidden room and finds the hanged 7 ladies all former wives of bluebeard,another great moment is when the woman sleeps and dreams when the ghosts of the 7 dead wives and the dancing keys appears.
great early arabian nights fantasy

nice movie from pathe freres hand colored and very familiar with george melies work,not so full of special effects but the whole arabian atmosphere of the movie is a worth to look to this film,one early slasher scene when the thieves head is chopped off with a sword.

really a great hand colored early science fiction movie with full of early special effects,greatest moment in the film that they reach the sun and go into the suns mouth with a train,this scene is very familiar with the trip to the moon when they reach the moon. The tour through the swiss landscape is also a great moment.
