The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)
An Epic Adventure with Magnificent Scenery
I had read The Hobbit earlier in the year for the first time before I even knew that they were coming out with The Lord of the Rings movies, so when I found out that they were making these movies, I got all excited and immediately I was drawn to wanting to see them. And in seeing the first installment, I am indeed amazed by how it was able to capture all of Tolkien's magic in the movie to the smallest little detail. Watching the movie, I felt I was right there with them experiencing the action alongside them. The actors did amazing jobs fully taking in their characters and embracing their personality. The scenery was amazing as it was beautiful and how much I wanted to believe a place like that really exists. It was such a beautiful movie and I cannot wait for the next ones to come out!
American Pie 2 (2001)
The Gang is Back Again
From the very beginning of this movie I was in stitches! This whole movie was full of its perverted jokes and lives up to the first installment. Actually, though, I believe this was better than the first. It was funnier, and it had a great moral to it about time changing. So even though it was mostly a hilarious comedy, it also squeezed in some serious points making you sit back and think about life. I was definitely not disappointed by this movie. I thought it was really clever, and I wouldn't be surprised if they came in with a third movie. They really mixed both aspects of life really well. I hope everyone who saw it got as much out of it as I did.
The Little Vampire (2000)
Cute and Witty Magical Fun!
When I first saw the movie, I thought it was the cutest thing. I'm 17 years old and I'm not ashamed to say that I really like this movie. It had a cool plot that made it not so much of a kid movie. And it really shows you can make friends in even the weirdest conditions. Movies like this, allows you to sit back and forget about the stress of everyday and you can let the little kid inside you take over full of imagination and amazement. Really this is an excellent movie who need to escape without really escaping!
American Outlaws (2001)
An Exhilarating Adventure!
The movie, had me hooked the first couple of minutes seeing it. And immediately recognizing Scott Caan, son of famous actor James Caan, I was intrigued. Then seeing newcomer Colin Farrell, which is now my favorite actor because of his amazing talent, I was blown away. The special effects were amazing and the plot was believable. It was more than a love story and more than an action story. It had depth and a real story line. I mean how often do you get to root for the "bad guys."
And you really got a taste of what they had to go through with their lives in the South after the Civil War. It proved a valuable lesson, that sometimes, when you're being threatened for your own lifestyle, you must take action. It was great fun watching it, and I can't get enough of it. I recommend this to everyone looking for good 'ol western fun with some little twists and turns.
